Can Amir Khan back up his boasts that he will be ready for Mayweather and Pacman in 2 years? I personally think the guy is dreaming. The worst chin i have ever seen in boxing.

You're from England and you have no support for the guy whatsoever. Just goes to show how much of a **** you are. Look what happened to your Ricky Hatton. Koed against both. People like you are pathetic.

He's never gonna be ready, unless he gets a chin transplant.

Yes i'm from England so what? I know a hype job when i see one. Hatton only lost against the best p4p boxers out there. Khan has had money thrown at him and has been down 5 times fighting Mediocre opposition. Give me a break here. Khan hasn't even proved himself the best in England. He dodged Murray and won't fight Mitchell. As soon as Khan is put in with a puncher it will be all over. Chin made in China. The guy is a joke.

Undefeated lightweight contender Kevin Mitchell (31-0, 23 KO’s) had some interesting observations about WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan. In an article at Independent.co.uk, Mitchell had this to say about Khan’s incident with a British model that he allegedly sent lewd text messages and photo: “I am shocked and saddened to hear this stuff. If nothing else, what was he doing in a nightclub while preparing for a world title fight? Amir is a lovely fellow and we’ve been good mates but I think all the money and hype has gone to his head. He’s obviously let the Hollywood lifestyle get to his head. He’s beginning to believe his own publicity, even talking about fighting Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather next year. He’s not in their league. He’s too vulnerable. You can’t put muscles on your chin. If he couldn’t go a round with Breidis Prescott, he wouldn’t last two rounds with them. He’s just making himself look foolish and I feel gutted for him.”

Here's someone that would need to be worried about Floyd's KO power.

No, Khan has skills, but he is a KO waiting to happen....If khan is ever ready for the likes of floyd or pacquiao it would 3-5 years down the road....

Khan will be a WW in 2012-'13 imo...

Not that Floyd or Pac would still be boxing within 3 years, but who the hell would train khan for a fight vs pac?

Just because someone is from the same country, you have no obligation to support them. If anyone is pathetic its you who feels everyone from the country should support him.

As a fan I said 'don't know', but strongly leaning towards No. Mayweather and Pacquaio are the best of the best, and have got to where they are by being outstanding all rounders. Khan is a brilliant boxer, great offensively, but he's going to have to develop a great defense (much like Wlad Klitschko had to) to get to the very top. My worry is that he doesn't seem like a very smart guy out of the ring, and even with a fantastic trainer he's going to have to learn to adapt to make sure he never takes big shots- and I highly doubt his capacity to do that.

We'll see anyway. I love to watch a guy with great offense but a dodgy chin- its always exciting :thumbsup
