aye his SKY PPV debut didn't exactly go well either did it! I thank Khan for the laughs along the way. He's been like a Audley Harrison/David Price/Enzo Maccirinelli/Victor Ortiz that hes made exciting fights cause of how flawed he is. Ive lost count the amount of times hes been hurt or dropped. He's mostly remembered for losing, but he's a loveable loser really.

I’ve got to hold my hands up and say I really called Saturday night wrong. I was certain it was Brook who would be shot, tight at the weight and unable to get his shots off but instead it was Amir who was a shadow of his former self. I was gutted as I like Khan as a local lad, he’s been in some brilliant scraps in his career but it’s time to walk away now and he knows it too.

He’s had a fantastic career and been a brilliant servant to British boxing. The amount of grief he’s been getting since he lost is ridiculous but I support with a sport as fickle as boxing (with more armchair fans than any other sport) it’s to be expected. Whilst his performance on Saturday was not good, he was very brave, stood up to some really tough shots and did well to stay on his feet throughout.

    Well done Amir.

Brook has done fantastic too - to drill himself into that shape where he wasn’t tight at the weight was a big achievement, and he’ll finally have the cherry on top of the cake that he’s always wanted. I expect Brook will have one more, but I don’t fancy his chances against Benn or Eubank, but given he’ll get another million quid for boxing either of them why not before he finishes? He’s a long time retired.

Prescott was absolutely all wrong for him, no way he was going to rematch him. Even if he'd asked Canelo or T Bud for a rematch, why would they do that? They were moving on.

Murray - I used to go and watch Murray quite a lot, but he was fighting in leisure centres and sports halls; I saw him in Widnes, Wigan twice and Altrincham. I'd have loved to see him get a shot but Khan was fighting Barrera in an arena around a similar time; he was following the money.

I think you're being a little harsh - IMO he was game to fight and get in scrap with anyone. Of course there was matchmaking, there is for everyone... but I think he can look back on some good achievements and as a game fighter who won world titles despite his limitations.

khan fought at four weight divisions and one two titles at one weight one which they handed him back
a shot feather weight v a genuine competior who sat well in the wbc
which khan now loves to be associated with despite never winning thier belt and not challenging for it for over a decade

Brook fight was 2 days ago mate. Sky wouldn’t finance a rematch even if he wanted one.
