Calzaghe fought for years, on small leisure centre shows despite being an outstanding amateur, Hatton slightly less so.

Financial muscle in professional boxing makes an enormous difference; you get to choose favourable opponents + ring size, ref, judges, gloves etc.

If you dont see a easy ride down the yellow brick road to a title for Khan then...

    :lol::lol::lol:

And Calzaghe and Hatton didn't have things there own way?

How did Joe get in a position to fight for the vacant WBO?

How was Ricky able to bypass Junior Witter on route to the WBU title?

Frank took very good care of both of them, for a very, very long time. That's how.

Calzaghe vs Eubank for a world title

Hatton vs Tsyzu for a world title

Khan vs Kotelnik for a world title

Fantastic reasoning fanboy, carry on staring teary-eyed at your favourite Khan poster

    Tut tut

clearly you have very few brain cells and a low IQ.

Stop embarrassing yourself, people like you ought not to use words like "reasoning"

You are not smart so stop trying to act so.

AK is a complete and utter moron, no questions about it. However he does have a career that is better then 99% of all boxers world wide.

He has a very good record especially for his age. End of.

Hmm ... you're a bit dim aren't you? I'm not disputing that the faded versions of Eubank/Tszyu were superior to Kotelnik. I'm not sure how you would arrive at that conclusion from my original post.

What I was trying to point out, was that Joe got a world title shot despite the fact that he hadn't really beaten a single notable fighter.

Furthermore, Joe's opposition during his WBO reign was constantly underwhelming.

Ricky fought all sorts of dire competition during his WBU reign, and was able to bypass his most dangerous domestic rival due to Frank's opportunistic scheming.

They were both very well looked after - hardly good examples of boxers who've had to scrap and work their way up the ladder without major promotional backing.

Now Dr Mo - answer the question. Other then Calzaghe, Hatton, Froch and Haye who've had more successful careers then Khan in the last decade?

I like Amir but I'd argue his achievements thus far are on par with Witter, who'd beat: Harris, Ndou, Kotelnik, Corley. Witter likely would have achieved more if he had the golden boy treatment as he couldn't get fights against the best in his prime

People only see the negative,Khan is an olympic Silver Medalist at 17,by 25 he is a two time champion, beaten decent names,Judah, kotlenik,Malanaggi,Maidana,Peterson(that was a win no matter people say)..,he left his comfort zone of England and went to America,he deserves massive props, people give him **** for having a bad chin, but so what if he does,if anything it just makes him more exciting, like a Terry Norris, exciting fighter, would fight anyone, never hides away when he is beaten, khan is a warrior and good for boxing..

Calzaghe won the title in 1997 and defended it on home soil all but two times in 10 years. Now I'm not career bashing Calzaghe I watched him fight Manfredo and Kessler, I did like his fans. This is just an example of how, if you want to, you can bash anyoners acheivemants. Wake up DrMo Khan has done well, especially if his fundamentals are as weak as you say they are.

Itr was on an obscure PPV channel in the middle of the night, it would have been a big deal if he had swallowed his pride earlier and fought on Sky Sports 1.
