I've heard people say that Khan's jab would have troubled Floyd. Is Khan really known for having a particularly good jab? Granted, I've only watched parts of highlights of Khan's fights, but I've never watched Khan and say, "Wow, he has a great jab!". Sure, Khan's jab is fast, but a fast jab isn't the same as a good jab.
Khan's bumrush pitter patter is what would cause Floyd problems His jab or lead hook was always a distraction leaving his opponent unprepared for the right hand that came almost simultaneously (leaving him open to a good hook, but in a trade) You have to time Khan coming in or trade, Floyd does not trade. Crawford timed Khan coming in but that's a shot to pieces Khan who was already thoroughly exposed in his style weaknesses. Garcia could trade because he is iron and a puncher counterpuncher. Floyd is a glass hands master outboxer which are the guys Khan eats up with his amateur flurries Floyd took on paper the easier bout in Maidana but horribly underestimated Maidana's workrate, roughhousing ability and even outboxing ability where he was making Floyd fall short and landing his own jabs. Brilliance personified. Stick 2011 Khan in with Floyd you'd see issues. The Mayweathers are wise though. Khans jab: This content is protected crazy fast and rangy, he turns it into a lead hook often that is easily mistaken for a jab, how he dropped Salita. This content is protected
Floyd gets criticized for not fighting Khan and fighting flat-footed fighters instead. Khan's footwork really isn't that much better than Canelo's or Maidana's. Fast footwork isn't the same thing as good footwork.
Khan wins a couple of early rounds then Floyd starts popping him with counters Say what you want about Floyd's power, but it is respectable and with his great timing enough to stop chinny khan
Most people predicted that Floyd was going to have an easy night and stop Maidana (body) and Cotto (cuts). Both took him deep. Prime Khan would have taken Floyd deep to a very controversial decision for Floyd, imo.
Khan looks good against opponents who let him have it all his own way. Any resistance and he has no clue what to do, usually ending with him flat on his back.
Peterson whooped him like an octopus and Maidana was green yet still knocked Khan from pillar to post and won most of the fight barring the fluke bodyshot.
Whopped him so badly he got stripped of a belt! & was knocked down! Yo imagine blaming your shampoo for an injected testosterone pill which you "forgot" about.
