If he wants to fight in the Olympics but cant get in the British squad(His first choice), then who cares if he represents a different country to get into the Olympics. Everyone would do the same if they could. Plenty have before. The only people the UK fans can have a problem with are the selectors. And thats only if he won the thing. Who he chooses to represent in the paid ranks is far more important than what he was selected for in the Ams. Shouldnt matter a jot.
Pakistan are your enemies? In what way may I ask? In regards to Haroon, I doubt very much his professional career would be affected negatively if he chooses to represent another country. If he appears to have the same level of talent as Amir (which I doubt), then chances are he'll be successful. A large bulk of the boxing fans will support a fighter because of his talent, not his heritage.
he is fully entitled to if he wants. However, he is shiite and got his arse handed to him twice in Ireland at the end of last year by two different guys. Thats tells you all you need to know about him!
WHAT???????? Are you that dumb? seriously? Pakistan is a Commonwealth country and is on of Britains biggest allies in the "war against terror" in Afghanistan??
If he's not even good enough to get in to the GB team then who gives a **** what he does? He's not going to make a career in boxing at all. Nobody will be following him.
All honesty, he is setting himself up..box for pakistan..then he should move and live there like a pakistani!
I don't think Pakistan are our enemies. I wrote "I suppose" to indicate that it's an opinion held by many but not nessecarily me.
its also where the majority of terrorists and terrorist plots come from. its one of britain and americas biggest allies in the "war on terror" because it knows it has to be, not because it wants to be. the majority of people in pakistan would support muslim terrorists over the british or americans every time. it's only now that the pakistani people are getting a hit with a lot of the terrorism internally by the taliban (the same taliban that was created by the pakistan government) that things are starting to change.
What age is his lil brother ?? i remember watchin an amir khan dvd and his old amature coach sayin he though his lil brother was better than amir
Its possible, if he's anything as talented as Amir hes got a great shot for the Olympics, if he picks up a medal Im sure Frank warren will try to snap him up
you're confusing the mujahadeen with the taliban. The taliban didnb't appear until after the soviet pullout and there rise to power was heavily supported by pakistan and saudi arabia and nothing to do with the CIA. because i was replying to someones post, and anyway brutalbob (join date jan 2010 posts 56), who the **** are you to start dictating?
