I would say Maidana and Khan (pre Garcia, from the Judah, Malignaggi , and Kotelnik fights) are a similar level to Matthysse.

Would favour Matthssye over both but he isn't a couple of levels above in my opinion.

Don't know much about Thurman have only seen his most recent fight so can't really judge.

Lara vs Floyd is probably Floyds hardest fight that could be made and would prefer it over the Floyd vs Amir/Maidana.

    I don't understand...

Do people want Floyd to fight the best opponents?

Or do they want him to "be nice during negotiations" and pick guys who think that they deserve a payday?

Sure Amir, they told you not to go through with the Alexander fight when it would've made you a 10x more viable opponent to sell for a ppv.

Khan also said he took flush punches from Andre Ward only to be told he never sparred with Ward. GTFO you pathetic little ****. If we see Khan-Broner, it'll be the first time ever I'll be rooting for Broner, and by KO to boot.

    Currently
    Matthysse is A level
    Thurman is A level
    Lara is A level
    Khan is C level
    Maidana is C level

    Fact.

Ps: Dont forget Marcos got shut out by Devon Alexander a guy Matthysse beat clear and I'm also pretty sure Matthysse would have knocked out the D rated fighter in Diaz khan fought

    Hahaha

    Thurman? Really bro?

I rated Jan Zaveck highly whereas most people didn't even know who he was. And I rated Jesus Soto Karass (Thurman's best win) deservedly (who Maidana stopped before Thurman did).

You could say that you think he will go on to be "A level" but he is anything but at the moment. He hasn't proven much...

Edit: And yes, Matthysse beat Alexander clearly in a close fight. Clear, but close. 1 point fights can't be called robberies.

I've gone on record saying Maidana deserves the fight more than Khan. However, I can't help but feel Khan's style would have made a fight with Floyd more interesting.

Thurman is A level just look at the way he's beating these B and C level fighters.. also keep in mine his record is already better at 147 then maidana and khan Google it.

Ps:Matthysse had Devon running for dear life and pretty much won almost every round in many experts eyes :deal

I'm happy Khan didn't get the mega fight. What exactly has he done at WW (or at any weight class) to deserve a shot with Floyd? He's 2-2 in his last 4 fights at JWW; there's at least 7 or 8 guys much more worthy of a Floyd fight from 140-154 and one of those guys is clearly Maidana.

Since Khan and Maidana fought, they've gone on completely different career trajectories, and it's good that the guy who's much more worthy of the chance is actually getting it.

Let's see how Khan looks against some actual WW contenders before he's even considered an opponent for Floyd.

I'd like to see him either fight at 140 and try and get a rematch with Garcia, take on Matthyse, or fight at 147 and take on someone like Porter or Thurman. He was completely deluded into thinking he deserved a shot with FLoyd because of his troubling "style."

There's plenty of fighters that have styles that could trouble FLoyd, doesn't mean they actually deserve a shot though.

I like khan but the guy is a bit of a flake. If he was asked to not fight Alexander, who was due a big payday against khan, he should have so no . . . I got this. He should have fought the damn fight and looked good and did his part to sell the fight. Now he is acting like a ***** and probably ruined a chance to get a fight in the future. I can see khan pursuing a fight against PAC (since PAC has limited dance partners) now but he may have burnt that bridge already

True that Khan has speed, but one pot shot from Floyd, Khan's chin would get shattered like a big bang.

They says khan speed would trouble Floyd. LOL keep dreaming khan fans.
