Looking through the news on the web and its clear both fights are in the pipeline, Boxrec has him fighting Maidana on the 3rd of April on the Hopkins-Jones card And again on the 1st of May against Marquez on the Mayweather-Mosley card Obviously he wont fight both a month apart so which one do you reckon will happen first? or if anyone's got anymore info feel free to post He should go after Marquez and if he dominates him the way Mayweather did then i reckon that will benifit him hugely and get another big fight in Hatton, then he could go after the Maidana's of the world to prove he can take a crack, If he does fight Marquez, anyone think he should drop down to LW and take Marquez's WBO, WBA titles? He could be a two weight champ at the age of 23, that would be pretty impressive providng he could shread the weight in time :bbb http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=314558&cat=boxer
Yeah I noticed this earlier, probably boxrec hedging their bets. JMM is the toughest fight there, even if Maidana can bang.
you got a source? I keep hearing and reading allsorts, i think they might be trying to work out which is easier for hm, style wis, obviously Marquez is in another league but Maidana can bang so its got me thinking
It's most likely going to be Juan Manuel Marquez, because I've hovered over a few reports that suggest Maidana will be fighting someone else next. If it is indeed JMM, then that's a tough fight to take for a US debut, even tougher than Maidana. JMM is gonna present him with problems he hasn't faced before, and will capitalize on Khan's naivety. Khan's simple one dimensional mode of attack (constant back and forth in straight lines), will mean JMM will have sussed him out by the mid rounds. I'm going for a JMM late stoppage
Don't you see your own contradiction, you call him a fraud yet his next fight is either against Maidaina or JMM. You are what one would call an idiot lol
A fraud is someone who takes on easy challenges and dodges. Thats something at this present moment in time i wouldn't lay on Khan. Maidaina or JMM next, either way they are too very hard fights that he might not win. So what if he doesn't win, it shows he has enough guts to lay it on the line. But yea a keyboard warrior always knows best.
It doesn't matter if he gets KO'ed in 1 second, that's not what a Fraud is. All that matters is that he gives it his all, in training and in the fight. A Fraud is someone who lies to the fans. Kevin Johnson talked so much **** about Vitali before his fight, it was trash talking of epic proportions. Then when the fight came, from round 1 all Johnson did was try to survive. He wanted no part, and it was an epic failure. I don't blame him because number 1 it's not easy to get in a ring and take punches for a living, number 2 he wants to make sure he can still talk properly when he retires, and 3, he has to build up the fight so he can make some money. If ever there's a Fraud, he would be it, even though it is slightly disrespectful to label someone who boxes for a living a Fraud. Does that sound like Khan? Khan claims he wants to be great. He's so young and got loads of time to prove himself by taking on difficult challenges. If he ducks dangerous opponents, at this stage of his career it's okay because he's not at his peak and may want more experience and to be able to secure his future first. If he hits his peak and is still ducking dangerous opponents while claiming he's not scared of anyone and still claiming he's on a mission to be the best, then he would be a Fraud. I don't see Khan doing this. The guy has heart. It's easy to be a keyboard warrior. I just wish people were more respectful rather than hating.
