Matthysse, yeah that would be a great bout for Khan, an iron chinned, relentless, precise power puncher, sounds like Khans cuppa tea that!

Khan's best win have come against "boxers" i.e malinaggi, judah.

Moneywise there's no-one in that would come to England to fight Khan for anywhere near the money he was getting for his last few fights on HBO.

Brook I think would be a perfect opponent, in terms of financially, stylistically and a win over Brook would throw him straight in the mix at welter.

The obvious con's are that if he were to lose where would he go from there, but every fight has it's risks.

There is no point trying to get a clever fight to 'push him back' into world title contention. Thats just taking short cuts. If they are genuine, then they should have a 3 fight plan of progressively tougher opponents, where he can be tested and challenged. And demonstrate improvements.

Fair play to him he has taken on good quality opponents since then, Judah was a good performance although was one way traffic, so was hard to tell if he would have got dragged into the trenches again. He needs to be able to show SOME improvements in these fights, if not then there will always be a strong risk of a similar ending to the Garcia fight. Even with his flaws he can still compete right at the top, but the fights will become real pickems. He could dominate then get clocked again.

Good post. I agree. Prescott rematch (he should win pretty comfortably if he boxes), Eric Morales and then Brandon Rios. If he can't beat them then he doesn't deserve the big fights.

He needs to quickly have a rematch with Garcia.
