    I like khan but Kotelnik was agrubally Witter's left overs as well as he got a gift against Maidana . watch the fight it took place in Kotelnix backyard and he got a SD. Alexander beat witter by the way and is the only man to have a stoppage over him. granted witter is not what he once was but he's a as good a name as Malinaggi. and Urango is as good a name as Kotelnik .

    yeah i get that but the public was already informed that Maidana had to stay away from Khan. now it's no sure thing Maidana will beat Khan or vice versa but why all the BS. why not just say hey we can't fight now but as soon as the time frame is up if he still has his #1 rank we'll get him ?

    TBH i don't think it's the serious of an injury . now this is just Speculation but GBP might have rethought there position on Maidan after hsi last perfomance as maybe they weren't expecting him to cut through Cayo . he brings KO's, heart, determination, and a blue collar approach. only thing missing is him speaking English. don't be suprised if you see him start to speak english pretty soon. GBP are no dummies they know people love to see ko's and Maidana is a true Ko artist who can get it either going to the head or body

    where did maidana get this great rep from beating an up and commer yet unpreven ortiz or beating the lesser known cayo or was t hen he was outboxed by kotelnik

    hmmz the fight took place in germany while both were stablemates.. i believe i had kotelnik one round ahead but sure could have gone either way. good fight but the most impresive thing was that kotelnik took maidanas best shots that man has a phenomal chin i doubt any other fighter at 140lbs can take such shots

    Myth he was never out boxed by Kotelnik he was robbed watch that fight. HBO is just running with he was outboxed by Kotelnik so Khans can have the credibilty of beating a man that beat him. go watch that fight that happend in Kotelnix back yard in which he won a SD and tell me he really won that fight that was str8 home cooking

    true he did take his best shots but i had maidana up by 3 rounds. he did the most damage and the better overall work

    It could be true, but I think HBO wanted to see first how Khan would deal in his debut, plus the fact after seeing Maidana last outing Roach and Khan saw things which they felt this guy is there for the taking.

    Even if there is a contract there must be a clause where they can make the fight happen, money talks.

    back to topic i think Khan best option would be Urango as he's legit has a punch .chin but can be outboxed.

    i think Shafer said he wanted to build the fight. but i think Uragno would be a good showing to showcase him against a dangerous puncher .

    What happened with Katisidis ? You can say oh Katsidis is a Lightweight but he fought most of the time at 140 until he had to make the 135 limit for Championship fights and he is a strong Lightweight with good power which we know could give Khan issues. If Juan Diaz beats JMM I have no interest in a Khan-Diaz fight Diaz is one guy who shouldnt ever leave his weight class he was just to slow and pudgy at 140 Diaz is made to order for Khan. Now JMM is he is still the same JMM who beat Diaz last February can give Khan a hell of a fight. If Khan wants to fight July 31st like ive read I want it vs a guy who can crack but not someone like Urango who just got KTFO. Maidana doesnt seem likely and a Victor Ortiz fight should not be made until these guys have developed into true stars because that could be a mega fight if built correctly. What about Kazier Mabuza who just destroyed Kendall Holt ? I heard Julio Diaz thats not a terrible option if other options fall through, Lucas Mattyshe maybe ? Joan Guzman maybe isnt he a Golden Boy fighter ?
