I think he has the potential to be a good fighter who will win a world title or 2. he does not look like a ATG in the making like other scribes are saying

He's got potential, but I see him being as the nex Naseem Hamed. IMO

hamed was better and much more original. he does not have the power or the unorthodox skills of naseem. may have slightly faster hands

What amir achieves depends on who is at his weight at the time when he steps up to world level. he won't win anything if he comes up against a freitas, manny pac, mayweather corrales or castillo.

i voted "will win domestic and euro honours but struggle to win a world title". he could probably win a minor abc title. probably wbo considering how influential warren is with that body.

becuase he is muslim and british you have decided his fate?:think

a ken buchannon im seeing a good fighter good basics with alot of support. will win a world title but will not be ranked for long enough and will get outpointed when he loses his prime. prolly get koed, actually the chance of somone getting knoked out in a career is very very likely so i wouldnt count it out (the was pun mos def intentional)

nice power, good handspeed actually very good, great combo's knows how to control the ring form the middle or the outside. can fight on the inside and the outside very well. jab is a bit lame more of a mosley jab it's there but it's not his most endowed punch. stamina seems alright he was tired against st clair but put on such a show and flair it kinda proved that he can do all that flashy moves and fighting and still have a bit of energy left.

    about a 7/10 prospect

sadly he is hyped, which can be damaging to a career. fwank will keep him close to home for now but amir is a hungry feller and i hope the khans actually take over on the promotion side.

    whats wrong with the wbo?

the supermiddle wieght version is mayb ethe most prestigous belt to hold.
    it's owners include only
ray leonard, tommy hearns, joe calzaghe and chris eubank :think

i know it makes weak mandatories but:

ibf: fixed there rankings to fix prmoters fighters to get easy top 15 challengers. when they did so under the table paying. they got fined becuase of it

wbc: they did exactly the same thing but in plain open viewing in the late 70's which caused a riff between some of the comiisioners and a split happend i belive. also stuff like stripping a legit lineal champion in casamyor becuase he was wanting to fight an opponant not in there rankings (david diaz)....... who later fought morales for it and shock horror won :rofl

wba:is just as guilty as the others and now has the amazing SUPER champion status i bet everybody is running to get on that horse. also stripping travis simms for no reason at all.

in some points i respect give credit to the ibo belt more than any of the others.

especially when most of these organisations are run by self serving hustlers. who know they are going to get ****ed over so might as well make the most as possible in the shortest amount of time
