Did what I thought he was capable of in a more convincing fashion. Took his shots, fought Miadana, showed his talents. Impressive kid vs a warrior in Maidana. Khan deserves massive praise for this impressive fight vs a guy who could have stopped him with a single punch.
Where he proved great heart and determination, do you not think he failed showing the intelligence and boxing that's required of him?
I think he showed intelligence above what you are giving him credit for. He threw combos and made maidana pay for aggression when he could have boxed and ran. His hands are something to behold. He put on a show and put on a great fight. He may have took chances, but he took the shots, stayed on his feet, won the fight and won me over.
Khan wanted to prove a point tonight and show the haters that he got a chin by taking the biggest puncher at 140 punches. Khan also showed that he has a heart of a warrior. That was a real fight.
I cheered for Maidana and yelled at the ref, but in the end I am walking away a Khan fan. He convinced me completely.
He ran a ton, you don't know boxing. His defense is suspect, Roach and Khan talked about how they would easily dispatch Maidana in 6 rounds they thought wrong, you sound like a novice of the sport doubt you've laced up the gloves.
I guess I was watching with a more critical eye. Tonight I saw a guy with a worryingly weak defence, and discipline that was too easily brushed aside by his desire to please the crowd. I'm eager to hear what Roach thought of that display.
wow...whatta avtar! were u in the maidana's dressing room after the fight? nice sportsmenship after beating the **** outta each other!
