watch it again...it started in the second or third....cortez warned him about 10 times a round to stop pushing down on MMs head, and everytime MM got close, khan was holding an arm...although, i don't blame him

No. Dirrell RUNS. He actually does do it right. It's not Khan's style, but if hurt, anyone does it.

I don't give a **** if you gave him props. Your criticism is silly, and your avatar doesn't help support you in any case seeing as that's Pacquiao and Khan's trainer.

It's part of the game. He did not do it excessively to any extent. You're just crying over the matter.

That was probably the 10th after Maidana hit him with everything but the kitchen sink... or maybe the 12th, though if I remember right he was throwing a few jabs out there...

I had Khan winning the 11th, he threw some hard flurries and hit Maidana with two solid right hands that momentarily stunned him. Which is amazing in itself considering the beating he had to endure in the 10th.

Also Khan has an easier time with Maidana in the rematch.

He won't have to go out of his way to take shots just to prove a point... which he clearly did, and I think he'll fight a lot more cautious.

He started to get dragged into a brawl with Maidana in the mid rounds after he was outboxing him comfortably, and it almost cost him the fight. If Khan is smart, he doesn't do that the second time around.

Agree 100% Khan can only get better we haven't seen the best of him yet he will make Maidana look a lot less of a hero in a rematch

for someone who is built as a boxer who fights from the outside and is supposed to control fights with his long jab he gets hit alot. mayweather sr was right in saying that he has no head movement, i think he would be a better trainer than freddy. all freddy has thought him defensively is to put his hands up, mayweather sr will teach him how to see punches coming and how to avoid them. the way khan is going he looks like shane mosley, great going forward but has never learnt how to avoid punches.

The fight was seriously close in my book, Khan took alot of damage and looked a gonner in round 10..look how he staggers back to his corner? Then after that he still manages to fight back and stay on his feet..

Khan seriously needs to learn some effective inside game and I'll go as far as saying he would be better off with a 'complete' trainer that suits his style better. He doesn't have the chin, mobility, power and intensity of Pac who can take a good shot and fight off the ropes crazy or brawl his way out from the inside, and given that Khan tries to imitate Pac more and more he's heading into a disaster. Look at how vulverable he was once his footwork was nullified.

As shocking as it may sound I think Khan learned what Roach could offer and it's time to move on to someone who can teach those solid inside moves Floyd, Ward, Hopkins or even Chunky DeGale uses so effectively, the legal and the borderline illegal too. Given Khan's still shaky chin he'll need those.

I can't knock him, he never even took a knee when he was clearly very hurt. Best fight of his career by far and a gutsy performance.

    Your last statement is interesting..
Only time can tell, i remember when most heads were saying that Khan will will have major trouble when facing a strong come forward fighter..his leg work showed that, he cant fight going back..

His hand speed is still top notch though..

I was reading up on Ali and found a quote that I thought fit Khan very well:
It fit quite well with the heart he showed in the 10th Round, I'm assuming that Prescott loss must be running through his head over and over again the entire round, reminding him of the feelings and emotions of defeat he never wants to experience again.

Someone even made a thread calling Hopkins fight against Calzaghe his best technical fight.
