Amir Mansour at CW(hypothetical)

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by UnleashtheFURY, Sep 26, 2020.

Would Mansour win a title at CW?

  1. One time titleist if given the right opportunity

  2. Unified champion

  3. Falls just short due to politics

  4. Doesn't come close not unlike his HW run

Also let me say that the speed advantages he had at heavy weight would not be as beneficial in the cruiser weight. Cruisers have the same speed and with power. Amir would give dorticos and glowacki a good fight up until he gets caught . briedis smokes him out . he would get stopped by all 3

It would be more competitive there and he would be a top contender

Titleist. Top 5 for a bit, but burns out quick, because of his style.

Yeah that's what I'm looking for takes on in this thread. Do you think he could beat Ramirez or YPH? How would he do against Huck, Drozd, Lebedev, Wlod etc.

Nah, you're not getting it Colombo, I know what I read and I know what my response was, and they were both what i mean. I don't backtrack and change statements, especially for clowns like you, in the hopes i am better liked if my new analysis is like theirs.

I don't think he'd be stopped by any, I think he loses to lebedev comfortably, gives Huck a very hard fight but loses a SD, it would be a wild war, outworks wlod, UDs him. Drozd probably outboxes him but has some very hairy moments one of those fights where mansour could get him.

Your post is ill informed because you either a) didn't read the thread or b) misread it.

Should be very obvious that I'm not talking about how he'd perform today. I could care less what your take is, but your post is ill informed and not relevant to the OP.

Around mid to late 2000s, he could win a strap, think he’d put Maccarinelli to sleep in a barn burner. But from 2009 to onwards, his career would resemble the one he had at heavy. I wouldn’t give him much of a chance against Adamek, prime USS, Haye, Lebedev, Drozd and so on. Though him vs Huck would’ve been interesting.

He'd have been in the mix, I think, mostly due to his power, which was good enough to down some pretty tough HWs like Breazeale. I think the likes of Lebedev and Drodz outbox him, Cunningham probably beats him again (though that's a pretty evenly matched fight) and someone like Wlod probably outpoints him as well. If he's to win a title he'd probably do it against a wild gunslinger like Huck or a china chinned guy like JPH, but I doubt he holds onto it for any length of time. Just a bit too easy to pick apart at range, and too many guys who could do so. He'd also still be a bit undersized at CW and might suffer some stamina or chin issues due to cutting the weight, especially in his forties.

Would have been a great addition though. Fights against the likes of Chakhiev, Huck, Afolabi and Glowacki would have been barnburners. Just insane bombs being thrown till someone hits the deck.
