Its definitely a young mans game, but its a young mans game to the extent of how much punishment you have taken throughout your boxing career, amateur and up. See, I didnt have a long and extensive amateur career; I didnt have ANY amateur career! Therefore, I still have my reflexes, and Im still fast. I dont talk and slur, and things of that nature. It will be very easy because in prison I just continued to train. It was like the 8 1/2 years in prison was an 8 1/2 year camp for me, and thats what I turned it into. In my mind, I was in a boxing camp. I trained everyday while I was in prison. I was blessed to be around a very good fighter who had a huge knowledge of the fight game, and would probably make a great trainer someday if he chooses to become one after he comes home from prison. Calvin Strictly Business Davis (22-1, 8 knockouts); He was locked up with me, and he was such a great inspiration for me that for about the 6 1/2 years we were together he would train me, and really forced me to train hard as I was often pushed to my limits. We used to train with some make-shift pads and some gloves, and we would train in a little 10′x10′ closet. Wed go all over the prison to get guys to spar with me, so we really trained hard. So when I came home, I was right where I needed to be.

Hopefully he developed some type of defense and footwork while in the system. At 5'11, he better have young Tyson type bobbing and weaving, because he isn't getting inside a Klitscho jab without it.

Hed be better off in prison than to have a fight with Tyson Fury

Fury would inflict serious damage he is too muscle bound to get out pf the way of the punches. It would be a horrific beating

Amir is a very bad dude. I just want to see him busy and fighting good guys. Lets see where it takes him. Title shot right right now won't happen. He needs to work towards. I see him making some noise if eh keeps his as out of jail.

I happen to be one of the very few believers of Mansour since I saw him back in the early 2000s and yes, the klits including all the other mediocre fighters at HW better watch out for this man cuz he's a straight killer..

Amir Mansour reminds me of those old school HW fighters when he they used to be fast like a middleweight, and hit like a ****in mule...

It doesn't stop there though.. Mansour is of the very few HW's of today who actually knows how to box and I can't wait to see him tested against one of the so called top contenders...

Everytime I talked about Mansour on Boxrec and other FOrums, people would dismiss him cuz he's old etc etc, but these jokers never even saw him fight!!

I dont give a **** about what anybody says cuz I know boxing like the back of my hand and recognize great talent when I see one and Amir Mansour is the truth period...

We saw what happened in Undisputed when the world champion got sent to jail and couldn't cope with the number 1 guy inside, because prison requires a whole different level of commitment and training. Well that's what will happen when Amir Mansour fights a Kilitschko. The sort of back-to-basics, hardcore training that Amir lives by is far superior to the professional training camps that the Klitschkos have.

Like he was hit by lightning or something... he was selling drugs etc... that is not 'unfortunate'... that is just plain dumb.

Especially if he thought he could have a future in fighting.

maybe because nobody wants to fight him and because his promoter doesnt have the beans to cough up to fight anybody good

no top promoter will take a risk at him because of his age

I know very little about Amir Mansour , but based on the OP's pics alone, he seems to have waaaaay too much arm muscle to be a good boxer.

I don't have to see him fight to know that he has slow arm speed.

- And he's already 40 y-o? C'mon, this is silly.
