In baseball, a lot of the young Cuban players are a lot older than they really are... it has a lot to do with posting and drafting and age requirements, I assume.

You can get away with lying about your 20s and 30s... But not 40s. LMAO. In boxing, to compete at Ortiz's level at age 48 is actually something to be PROUD of. No need to lie about age.

Personally don't buy into Ortiz being ancient. Perhaps a couple of years older than stated but...without actual evidence I'm accepting his real age.

 

I do think Ortiz is old but I give Wilder full credit regardless. What matters is Ortiz's current level not his age.

Trying to find the truth of Ortiz's age is not necessarily a way to discredit Wilder.

 

Breaking news, the cuban janitor at my gym has a friend that knows someone that knows someone that grew up with Ortiz. He's really 62.

 

48 is too young for Wilder, but I think the contract says that Ortiz has to drink several bottles of win every day for at least a week and sleep in the alley.................
