Some decent HW action this friday. Does Amir "Hardcore" Mansour make quick work of the Polish American prospect as he's expected to, or does Dawejko turn the tables and pull the upset? A win here for Mansour probably lands him another big fight, a loss however would be devastating. Dawejko on the other hand has nothing to lose, aside for maybe a few brain cells.
Its not a bad fight, I think Mansour beats him and puts himself in line for a big/near big fight in his next fight or two. In a couple weeks ESPN's Boxcino finals probably sees Fedesov winning that tournament. Mansour-Fedesov, if they both win, would be a nice and somewhat meaningful fight at that point.
I agree, not a bad fight and Mansour should definitely win... However with that being said his window is very quickly beginning to close. He should gun for a fight with someone like Arreola, a win there could very well have him a fight or two away from a title shot again. Based on his last fight I wouldn't be shocked if Mansour beat him, in fact I'm quite certain Mansour knocks that version of Arreola out quite easily.
Actually, I'd much rather see the winner of this fight be granted a shot against Wilder instead of Molina. Although it's fairly obvious that Wilders time wants him nowhere near a savage puncher like Mansour.
For a guy with a noted amateur career, Dawejko seems to have been managed terribly as a pro. He could have been brought along, given 15 relatively soft opponents to get used to the pros and learn. Instead he was tossed in with legit fighters from the get go it would seem
Cunningham had Monsour on QU33R ST...... And Monsour couldnt put away the chinny ex cruiser. No way in hell is Team Wilder the least bit afraid of sloppy, slow, plodding Monsour:nono
Mansour had lots of trouble vs Kassi, before knocking him out. He's an OK fighter and I think he will win, but he's not worthy of a world title shot.
He beat Cunningham and deserves a title shot. He got that freakish KO power. He knocks Wilder out easily.
