You know, I keep forgetting about him, but he's a guy I'd give at least a puncher's chance (if not a chance, period, because he can box as well as punch extraordinarily well for a "small" heavy) with all but maybe four heavyweights in the world, even at his age.
100% Kaufman would've got a title shot at the WBC belt if he would've won, but since Hardcore won.....nothing This content is protected
Yes and today's heavyweight division is so bad that an old small heavyweight of his skill & talent is a h2h threat against everyone in the world save the creme de la creme (whom you can enumerate on a single hand, with maybe a thumb leftover)
Exactly, and people keep (inexplicably) rating Breazeale as some kind of top-10 force at the weight, so Mansour can't be just written off as "too small and old" to compete until his in-ring form actually starts to degenerate.
I'd make him a huge dog with either Joshua or Wilder, but give him a better chance at victory against the latter (while I feel the likeliest outcomes are Joshua beating him by medium-wide decision after dropping a few rounds to him, while against Wilder he probably gets KTFO at the end of those long right hands; just not quite enough foot speed in the old man to avoid them for the full distance if he doesn't manage to find a beeline inside and light up Deontay's chin first)
aj has showed his basic and struggles with movement and mansour until he gasses is good mover coming at his opponent and if he gets inside on aj and the refs ok then he could easily knock aj out who I don't rate wider is different but could see a similar outcome but imo if mansour gets knockout it will be wilder because aj has completely overrated power
Mansour's awesome. I've always loved watching him fight, since the Cunningham shootout. He's old school to the bone, and really talented for both an old guy and a slugger. Ridiculously explosive as well. He could have taken Breazeale if it hadn't been for him biting through his own tongue (caused by an uppercut TBF). This guy would have been a legend back in the 70s or 80s.
he would be a top five win (at worst) for Joshua, Wilder, Parker, and Fury. if they won. only Parker isn't a china chin.
Yup Mansour bit his tongue nearly in half, required a Ton of stitches. He said mid fight he was swallowing a lot of blood so it was hard to breath. DB is a grizzly bear
Doping test of Amir Mansour after the fight with Sergey Kuzmin gave a positive result. It became known that the American boxer Amir Mansur failed the test for doping, taken after the fight with Sergey Kuzmin. This duel was declared not valid, and the technical draw was canceled. Recall, November 27 in Moscow, a duel of undefeated Russian boxer Sergei Kuzmin against Amir Mansoor for the vacant WBC International heavyweight title, but the title was not played because of the mutual dissection received in the third round after an unintended collision with his head. Now the revenge with Kuzmin is questionable, as Amir Mansour awaits the decision of the World Boxing Council (WBC) for the positive doping test. Most likely, the American will likely receive the disqualification.
