Were the point deductions unduly harsh? Yes.
Would Khan have won without them? Yes
Would it make for another fun fight with a good storyline? Yes.

Kahns worried that he may not deserve a rematch and is waiting for the outcome of this debate before he goes any further.

I agree khan would have won without the points deductions. But would he have still won if he wasn't constantly pushing? ( peterson had success on the inside untill he got pushed out, we wont know)

It is in Peterson's interests for with a rematch with Khan, it will get him another big pay day, he has a chance to win again and make a bigger name for himself. A fight with Bradley would be boring, he would lose again and not make as much money.

I was unsure if you were an idiot, now I am clear that you are.

They were harsh because the pushing wasn't that big a deal. I don't have a big problem with them, but it wasn't like Amir was doing something that would have damaged Peterson.

But he didn't stop pushing, so we can't really judge what would have happened if he didn't. We can, however, judge what would have happened without the deductions. Basically, there were bad calls both ways that might have changed the complexion of the fight. I'd like to see those.

It was a good fight and I'd like to see a repeat. It's interesting: can Khan sort out his weaknesses and execute the game plan, or can Peterson do more of what he did before, but more consistently?

Khan put a good run together, unified the belts, beat a top ten operator in Maidana and lost his belts on a very tight decision that was only tight because Khan got point deductions for a relatively minor infraction.

Peterson, if he wants to remove all doubt, will want to rematch Khan and show he is the better man.

**** just noticed the spelling and homo colour lol
Why wasn't the pushing a big deal? It stopped peterson from working on the inside and no matter if you have a problem with it using your hands to shove your opponent away is illegal in boxing. Yes like i said the point deductions cost Khan his belts not debating that, But its his fault not the refs.
Khan didn't put on a good run. He won the title yes beat maidana? yes. All that was good
But being made amaturish and crude by a european level fighter in mcclosky and winning by a bull**** cut (I agree he won every round!) and the controversial stoppage of judah is hardly a good run. I wonder why Judah didnt get a rematch when he lost his belt aswell? Because Khan was planning on moving up for better things....... Peterson has a chance to unify the division as a fighter im sure that would mean more then to just prove he is better then khan

Whatever, I don't agree with you. I think Khan deserves a rematch.
