very easy fight for khan, dont rate algieri in the slightest and i see him making amir look a million dollars! this could be the first khan fight that actually doesnt have any excitement!
Arguably the most pointless fight of the year. Khan's been found out now. He's only willing to fight feather-fisted LWW's.
Average fight, Khan will win very easily but people are underrating Algieri massively. They are talking about him as if he is a high level journeyman, when in reality he was a world champion at Welterweight beating a top 5 guy in the division, granted a weak division, but still I think he will be a fringe guy for many years. Khan however I think will beat Algieri convincingly and I think he will fight for one of Floyds vacated belts, if he gives them up, then I see Brook or Pacquiao happening in November or December of 2016.
news to me :yep with one solid win fringe meaning gatekeeper nothing more according to khan if he wins this he becomes champion :huh
A very brave prediction OP, i guess next thread will be how you think GGG beats Monroe JR this Saturday.
he was champion at light welter not werlterweight against the overrated provodnikov. a decision that imo wasnt really deserved, he never once took control of the fight. it certainly wasnt enough to get a shot a pac man in a fight where he was shown to be 3-4 levels below the best fighters in the division at least. khan will outpoint algieri in a landslide 120-106 type scorecard that will include either 10-8 rounds for domination or a couple of knockdowns to algieri. provodnikov isnt a top 5 light welter imo crawford, garcia, mathysse and even jesse vargas and broner above him imo. he is very one paced with overrated power and not much actual skills. good chin though!
sense prevails he will come back and say mis typed typo sh it he keeps doing it and it always shines khan in a greater light theses typos
Algiers is a US club fighter, has one good win on his record that was a home town decision against a guy who put in a career worst performance, and no way did he still win that fight.
Apologies I meant light welterweight, come on man you know what I meant but you just wanted to be an irritating little ****hole!
I meant light welter, so apologies for that, yes I do think Khan will dominate on the cards but my point is that Algieri really isn't a bad fighter at all and when Khan dominates it is a reflection of how good Khan is. Provodnikov is a top 5 light welterweight in my opinion, narrow loss to Matthyse and Crawford hasn't got any experience at the weight so I cant include him, Broner and Garcia are better along with Matthyse and then that puts Provodnikov 4 or 5 in my opinion. Algieri vs Provodnikov was a close fight and it could have gone either way but it went Algieri's way so therefore he won the fight, making him a world class light welterweight, but in my opinion a fringe level guy at welterweight.
