The sole reason for Bradley not signing is that he's only getting $100,000 more than if he fights someone else who would get him $1.2M If this was Amir, everyone would be saying "Oh, Amir is really poor, isn't he" "We should open up a charity for him" Just like before. The double standards around here...
Why would i not want to see the fight Laz? You put as title on i think Friday ''Bradley Set 48 Hour Deadline'' The deadline is now passed and now been extended. It's stupid to try force a mans hand and then get told by HBO ''Extend it!''. ^^^ That pretty much sums up how i think this is going down. I think Bradley's looking out for his long term future rather then bashing Khan up and being stuck under Shaw's banner for two years. He's got every right to hustle for best deal. We had similar threads to this on Bradley-Alexander and look what happened there. The fight in the end happened and he done a job on Alexander even at less then best.
Though I don't agree with Bradley for not taking the fight Amir has being making big money since he turned pro. Bradley had to work his way up, he was never one of these heralded prospects offered big money by a top promoter.
I really hope Bradley steps up to face King Khan, all this hiding behind contract talks is lame, Khan will fight anyone, he shows no fear.
Im not Khans biggest fan but Lazarus has a point about double standards if the shoe was on the other foot Khan would be accused of ducking.
The only thing Khan has to duck is Bradleys head how Bradleys on anyones p4p list speaks volumes about the state of boxing.
Of course, that's another reason. He doesn't have any other deal in place, but obviously, he considers Khan as a threat if he's not signing on yet, because if he loses, there won't be a very good offer for him in place as his contract with Shaw will have expired and the promoters won't give him a very good offer, as to if he was still undefeated and the unified champ. This isn't going to happen..
That's all understandable, but after the "Stop running Khan, it's time to stop running" antics, which he said to millions on HBO, he's not looking very good, is he? As said, if it was Amir, it would be a different story. Thank you! At least some people can agree on that point.
