Best month in British Boxing history? Haye and Khan both unify and become ring no.1s??? Its gonna be great two genuine 50/50ish unification fights with our two biggest boxers. Bradley doesnt have many KO's, is his best shot to outhustle/outwork Khan? Im pretty confident Roach could formulate a doable gameplan for Khan to execute - I quite fancy Khan in this one
I think he has trouble following a gameplan, i think he will get into too many exchanges with Bradley and will wind up on the wrong end of a headbutt and/or a decision.
Unfortunately so, the IBF lost it's credibility at 140lbs when they stripped Alexander. Bradley should hold 3 belts and this would be for the full bunch.
I've scene an article that claims they're nowhere near. The article claims the main issue is money (surprise surprise) - something which could lead to Bradley looking elsewhere. It's worth noting that Bradley was given a $1m guarantee for his next fight as an incentive to fight Alexander last time out. As much as I'd like this to happen I can see them being miffed at the amount Khan will be getting paid - why cash in your bargaining chip on this fight when you can use it on someone else and take Khan later?
It doesn't say as much, but that seems to me like the most plausible underlying problem. Bradley doesn't seem the sort to quibble over nothing - he was more than happy to hop on a 747 and fight Witter over here.... probably for the shorter end of a short stick too. I agree with you though, quit the messing around and just sign 50-50. If Khan is that bothered just sack all the flunkies to keep more for himself
It will be unforgivable if Khan-Bradley doesn't happen soon. They've both run the gaunlet and beaten all feasible challengers (and no, Zab doesn't count) and are both pretty much at their optimum weight and are the no.1 and no.2 in the division respectively. Both have totally different styles, will be interesting and is the way forward for boxing.
Dan Rafael: Team Bradley is holding up the Bradley-Khan fight Quote: I hope the posturing coming from the camp of Timothy Bradley Jr. about possibly passing on a July 23 fight against Amir Khan is just that. http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/blo...-cooking-class Quote: They are trying to get that fight done. Khan's side is in. Bradley's promoter and Khan's have a deal with each other and HBO has a deal with them. The fly in the ointment is if Bradley himself and his management will accept a deal. If the fight happens the winner should be right in the mix for a Pacquiao or Maywetaher tpe of fight. I'd also love to see the winner fight Ortiz. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat...ith-dan-rafael
Good stuff,Khan is being true to his word and is going to try unify the titles.Ive not seen that much of Bradley but from what I have seen I think Khan can beat him, should be a decent fight though.
Bradley likes to hustle for position. Don't blame him...least he ends up fighting he just knows his worth.
