Amnat Ruenroeng vs. Kazuto Ioka & Katsunari Takayama vs. Shin Ono RBR

I really don't understand how Ono has only two knockouts. :huh

Decent size (average height for the division but thick-bodied), aggressive southpaw, not afraid to rumble, and clearly heavy-handed enough to have Takayama on his bike much of the night and bothered even by single body shots.

I guess that is the crux of his problem, in all likelihood - it mostly is just single blows. (although his long right hook/left cross headhunting combo is a fine weapon, underutilized. More of that and he might be champion right now...)

Plus, even with the low work rate his stamina is poor.

Yeah, not much on there, but he was a decorated amateur - with at least the one solid result in his step-up last time when he obtained the IBF 112lb belt. (although it was vacant and didn't require him to beat a reigning champion or even an elite - just a so-so regional contender in Oriental & Pacific titlist Fuentes...)

 

I actually had it close for Akira, thought Ioka was lucky.
