Ruenroeng is staying outside, letting Ioka walk onto his quick single and double left jab. Ruenroeng takes a few steps clockwise, fakes the other way, clockwise again. Ruenroeng is performing a waltz, unhurried and wasting nothing unnecessarily, just placing his feet and making Ioka chase him, throwing nice left jabs in between Ioka's gloves to greet him. BIG COUNTER RIGHT UPPERCUT by Ruenroeng, Ioka slightly rocked.

3rd was the only clear round for either so far.

 

They are in Japan, but the judges are one Pole and two Americans.

Judges - especially in the West - favor activity, while usually ignoring body punching (which is all Ioka really has going for him)

 

Round 4

Ruenroeng is backing onto the ropes and letting Ioka swim in low after him. You can almost visualize a fin sticking up over the water's surface, with Ruenroeng cruising along in his motorboat, harpoon at the ready. Ruenroeng catches Ioka with a MASSIVE right uppercut counter. Ioka is showing a heck of a chin eating this stuff up, no matter how lightly Ruenroeng punches. Body shots forked straight out by Ioka, just nicking Ruenroeng as he keeps up his backward and circular movement, working busy left jabs and sitting down on that right uppercut to keep off the ropes.
