Now??? before the JMM fight? Saddler isnt great..So waht he was 29 when he lost but FYI..Morales and Barrera doesnt come close to Saddlers greatness

Villa's two wins over Wilde are pretty close to Harada's wins over Jofre, though Jofre was closer to his prime. Villa was more dominant in his wins though.

I think Harada's body of work gives him the slight edge, being as I don't think we saw enough Villa against top notch comp to choose him over a guy who holds wins over Kingpetch, Medel, Hawkins, Caraballo, etc in addition to his wins over Jofre.

Close call, but I have to give the edge to Harada based on the one fact that Villa died so young, and didn't accomplish all he could.

I have him 4th right now, behind Harada, Villa, and Elorde. A win over Marquez puts him third, possibly second.

In his prime, he was quite consistent, given his long reign at SFW. And along with wins over Saddler, he holds a win over a great fighter in Ismael Laguna.

Cant disagree, champ in two weight classes at the time when there was 10.. Could fighting in Japan..hurt Jofre with the decision..do you know?..

i think Villa is overrated besides a win over a Wilde who was past his best and hadnt fought in two years who id he beat that was so good.

From what I understand, both fights were very close, but just Decisions. I have not seen them, but will soon, so I can give a more accurate assessment.

He also lost to him and was loosing to bums in between. He was too inconsistent to be the greatest. Mab & Morales are pretty close to saddler in resume and head2head. Apart from favouring of the old timers myth, explain to me why you dont think so?

When would you say was his prime? His greatest win came abouts when he was still young and was loosing every other match. Later on he gets a streak but fighting nothing but bums...hard to tell...

How could you say that when he held the title for 7 years???

he lost in between those seven years?...Let me ask you how long has PAC held the SFW title?? or how long has he defended whatever titles hes had??

He got a streak fighting nothing but bums in his title reign? I think not. Those were his prime days. He was actually somewhat young when he faced Saddler.

As far as Saddler, his wins over Pep far surpass anything Morales or Barrera have ever accomplished, and his dominance at FW and SFW after Pep had subsided. Head to head, I'd favor him to beat both of them, as well as a guy like Henry Armstrong at FW.

He was loosing in between those 7 years, maybe not in SFW but he was definetly loosing, at LW. If Morales gets penalised for loosing to Raheem at 135 whilst fighting at 130, why shouldn't Elorde?

Pac doesnt care about titles too much, I think weve established that.

Margarito was also the longest reigning WW champ at one point, 8 years...he must be an ATG.

Beating Saddler at a young age and Laguna puts to rest any doubts about being a top fighter.
