Yes, Sept. the 6th. And Barrios vs. Juarez is on the televised undercard. Barrios doesn't participate in boring fights either. :yep
Going to be a great card. I've been looking forward to this barnburner for awhile. Now that I found out Barrios is on the undercard I'm even more stoked. I have a feeling this will go down as a fight discussed for years to come. I believe Katsidis pulls it out. He's the harder puncher by far, and I don't think Diaz has enough pop to hurt him nor does he possess the abilities of someone like Casa. It won't be easy though.
Going to be an awesome war so pumped. Either way this is awesome matchmaking and I dont think a loss will hurt either fighter to much because its going to be such a crowd pleasing fight I suspect. Ive my money on Diaz like most but Ill be going for Katsidas all the way and I reckon he can pull off an upset for sure.
My friend and I just started hosting an internet radio show devoted to Boxing/MMA and we interviewed Juan Diaz on the air this past Friday. What a great guy! Talked about how he hopes this fight is his Gatti/Ward. And that he expects an all out war. Now that's a fighter.
Katsidis has got a live shot in this one if he fights like he did in the middle of his fight against Casa and Juan Diaz shows more signs of potential breakdowns mentally like he did against Nate Campbell. A consistent attack from Katsidis coupled with another corner failure for Juan would give Michael the opening to squeak by a decision and really propel himself up in the boxing world. That said, I think the Juan Diaz who punished guys like Julio Diaz and Popo Freitas returns and turns Kats into nothing more than a punching bag with legs.
I'm going for Mikey on this one. Katz KO8 Diaz!! Either way, this will be a fight to remember!! WAR!!!
I missed Diaz/Campbell... can someone give a quick refresher on the fight? Did Diaz not turn up or Campbell just too good/experienced??
