Stop it guys...everyone gets em wrong sometimes. Hell I remember spouting off at how Travis Simms was the best WW in the world and would show it soon...and this is when MAYWEATHER was at WW. We all say some dumb **** sometimes.

Amsterdam is a fine poster...one of the more knowledgable guys on here. Good chap too....only problem is he lets his heart get in the way of his head alot of the time.

That said...I said it after the Cintron fight...MARGO WAS ALL WRONG FOR MIGUEL!!! And many of you ridiculed me over and over for it...so, well....ITS GLOATING TIME!!!!

    :hey

He's neither a bad poster nor a bad fight picker. His overall prediction record is actually quite good. He chose based on skills as always rather than on certain intangibles that noone knew about from these fighters, which came into play big. Cotto was clearly the more technically skilled as he proved early on, but technique isn't what won this fight.

Lighten the **** up people. Everyone predicts wrong sometimes, his only flaw is his boldness in his predictions. He probably learned a lesson.

Either way, I think this fight showed that, while skill and technique are good and all, it is not the superior one all the time. The lesser skilled guy could still match up and beat the better skilled guy due to heart, stamina, determination and all those intangibles.

I picked Cotto to win this fight, but I was really impressed with Margarito as the fight went on. He recieved countless flush shots from Cotto, yet he didn't flinch or bulge, he kept coming and coming.

Having said all that. I was really dissapointed in the fact that Cotto never took to the body like how Margo did. You'd think that one of the most lethal boxers at body punching would employ often in this fight.

It's the fact that he's such an ignorant disrespectful ****wit that I take slight against. He shows no respect to certain boxers and he's nothing but a loud mouthed ****ing twit.

As proven by his offbase assertions.

Look man, Cotto fought a stupid fight tactically and we're paying for it. Never once did he tactically tie up on the ropes, he didn't go to the body enough, he didn't press enough and smother him inside(IE Clottey vs Marg)and sought to waste tons of energy moving away from him. I said that he could outbox him as a backup, but I predicted that he'd fight his fight, work the body a ton and smother Tony(which is effective and he could take Marg's shots before he became exhausted).

So the only I'm hurting over is losing 500$. Hell, even had he used more tactical clinching, he still would have likely won the fight.

The sad thing, we'll never hear the end of the Margarito crew, congratulations to them and congratulations to Marg for his best performance, but it's going to get interesting.

Do you think I've learned a lesson here? Nah, it's just one of those things, called it wrong and my guy fought the wrong fight on top of it. By round 5, I knew Marg was going to stop him late, last 5 were very painful.:yep

I eat my crow when I get them wrong, which is every now and then, but since I'm bold, they let me have it especially bad, even when they're correct predict percentages are way lower overall. It's all good.

Yeah, a few bad picks here and there with an overall 60-75% correct percentage, I'm so off base and torn that I can never get them right.

This is why he lost IMO. By tying marg up he would have broke marg's momentum and saved some energy

That's all good, and I agree, especially about Cotto having the wrong gameplan. I was simply saying maybe you won't be as bold with your predictions from this point out. Because regardless of Cotto fighting the wrong fight, you predicted with 100% certainty that'd he'd dominate Margo no questions asked. You weren't wrong on Cotto having the ability to win, but fights don't always play out as they should.

he's not into taking risks..prefers those likely to win...just one of the hundreds that got stunned today. Whats annoying about him is that when predicting a fight, he completely ousts the possibility of his fighter losing, while giving long and obvious analysis.

    It happens.

Listen, I'm not changing the way I go about things. I predict them boldly and most of the time I get to abuse clueless fans for being so off, but here and there, you'll be off, maybe not crazy off, but off enough for a bad flaming on you for your confrontational prediction style and it's all fine, no hard feelings.

I was wrong, I don't care either(save for my money). I don't get my feelings hurt over internet pokes.

I don't think the guys here are angry because you picked the wrong fighter, its not really about that. I think its the WAY you pick those fights. Lately all I've seen from your posts is constant downplaying of certain fighters and the fact that you almost always shoot down other people's opinions without a second thought.

I know its great in supporting your fighter no matter what. But sometimes you gotta listen to what other people say. You might not agree with what their saying but at the very least consider their opinion. Don't just disregard them like crap, because believe it or not, they can be right as well.

I'm not trying to offend you Amsterdam, I'm not trying to provoke you or make you feel bad just for the heck of it. I'm just telling you how I see it. Now obviously we never had a debate before, but I browse virtually every single thread made in this forum so I kinda read alot of posts from alot of people here, and this is what I gathered from you posts.
