Oh yeah my bad, all the bests with the list. Another name to consider is Mike Weaver both Holmes and Pinkon Thomas said he hit harder the Tyson although considering they both lost to Tyson it might have something to do with it although Pinklon didn't seem bitter toward Tyson.

Mike Weaver was probably a harder hitter than his record indicates, yeah. His early career match making was murder, and he certainly became a more complete fighter as he aged. He did produce some truly devastating (and late, which counts for something) knockouts.

Egads, I forgot to add Mac Foster to my original list, which is a glaring omission because he was a very hyped up puncher and fighter at one time. He ended his career with 30 wins and 30 knockouts, never a distance win to his name. I've heard a supposedly reputable story that he hit Sonny Liston so hard in sparring he sent his head piece flying off along with knocking Liston out cold.

I still remember the post fight interview after Jerry Quarry upset Foster after absorbing quite a few heavy bombs. Quarry wooped and hollered something like "Wooooo boy can he punch!" at the very beginning of the interview. Foster's power obviously left an impression on Quarry.

I have no doubt he's a Shaver's level bomber. Not quite as hard perhaps, but comparable and in the same tier with the other murderous punching heavyweights I've listed so far.

Am I missing anyone? Someone needs to come in and advocate for David Tua... :(

I could easily believe Weaver hit harder than Tyson. I think Tyson had A- power with A+ speed, and since those things almost never appear together at heavyweight it gave the illusion of the power being A+.

Berbick did have a damn fine, near iron chin. How many heavyweights from the time could take one better?

Are you aware of the shots he soaked up from just about everybody during the lost generation? He was matched exceedingly difficult throughout his career, was not a defensive genius and fought well into old age.

Being blitzed against a prime and set to destroy Mike Tyson does not mean you don't have a great chin.

Does Pinklon Thomas not have an iron/great chin because Tyson also stopped him? Get real, or more helpful perhaps, go watch some tape on Berbick, you might pick up a few things.

Berbick had a decent chin... But iron chin? A guy with iron chin does not make the dance of the drunk doesn't matter if was tyson or foreman who did hit your chin. Iron chins are tua's, chuvalo's, hagler's,lamotta's etc. Pinklon thomas neither had iron chin.

Your chin can be iron without it being amongst the top ten chins of all time irregardless of division, like what you're now doing with that list.

Thomas had an exceptional chin by any measure, actually. You don't want to call it, or Berbick's, iron? Sure. They both still had exceptional chins.

I reiterate, go watch some more tape.

Tua got decked a second after the bell by Rahman and knocked over by Monte Barret. Deplorable chin, being down twice in ones entire career.

Tua had by far better chin than berbick and thomas and it is not even a debate. I don't need watching anything more about these guys.they did not have iron chin. And you exaggerated it so just admit it

Yeah it's gotta be a ego thing with so many fighters reluctant to name guys that brutally KOed them as the biggest punchers that they faced. They always say that the hardest punchers they faced were guys that they weren't knocked out by and who they did go on to defeat. It's so predictable.

Corrie Sanders, Lamon Brewster, Lennox Lewis, Ruddock. Few want to admit it, but Wilder also has huge power.
