The fix has never been so in as it was tonight, Thompson had to fight Kimbo, the ref, and Gary Shaws pregant stomach all at once, and still won. **** that, oh, poor Kimbo got put on his back and was getting beat on, oh, lets just stand them up. Who will notice that we are completely ****ing James Thompson over? He doesn't count, Gary Shaw doesn't jerk off to his youtube fights down at the boatyard. Then the Ref, for no apparant reason, steps between the two and declares Kimbo the winner. Thompson did not go down, and with the worlds glassiest chin, if you Thompson doesn't go down, you didn't ****ing hurt him. Sickening, absolutely ****ing awful.
I dunno, ref was pretty terrible throughout the night so I wouldn't be so quick to call it a fix. Terrible reffing and "doc'ing"... P.S. "Sad day comes when an MMA fight between two females was the best fight of the night" ~ Me...
Come on the quick stand up was the first clue and when James had him down pounding him for the last minute and a half in the second round where Kimbo was just lying there taking elbows Herb Dean would have stpped that.
One judge had the second round for Kimbo. Let that sink in, thats how curropt and incompetant these idiots are, you win a round by brutally beating on a guys elbow with your forehead.
The writing was on the wall, if it wasn't the ref it was going to be the judges, James had to finish Kimbo in a brutall way, that was his only chance. I guess kimbo's head was hurting Thompson's elbow...that must be the reasoning.
I figured something was fishy when Thompson got in side control for like 4 secounds and the fight was stood up.
When I read that a judge gave Kimbo the second round, it's just sad, just sad. I don't know how you could give that round to Kimbo. It makes it bad to non MMA fans to see that. A sport that is still trying to grow, don't need stuff that looks like a fix. Very bad...very sad.
What do you guys expect from an organization that also has it's hands in boxing promotion? From the first time I saw EliteXC, it came across as a low brow production.
