    Luis Rodriguez the Cuban welter and middleweight was a great fighter and his resume emphatically proves it .In his long career he beat five men who held world titles.

    Emille Griffith

    Virgil Akins
    He fought Griffith, 4 times beating him by U dec and losing the other 3 on split decs.
    Griffith said there was nothing between them and that it was a shame for Luis that they were contemporaries.

    A great fighter , and it pisses me off when a fool gives a cursory glance at Box Rec and pronounces him markedly inferior to the likes of Napoles and Gavilan.
    Rodriguez deserves better and here he gets it!

    Want to learn more for my top 100, he clearly seems eligible for top 60 at least.

    Clearly top 5 Cuban boxer, arguably top 10 WW of all time.

    Is there full footage of the Griffith fights?

    I don't think so, I remember watching them on B&W TV,there was never much between them for talent

    Yes there is. I just uploaded fight II from Dodger Stadium to YouTube and the others are on there too.

    BTW, I scored both III & IV for Rodriguez. I'm going to sit down over the weekend and watch #1. Didn't know it was out there.
