http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=17213&more=1 If you have time browsing the front page, you would have seen this one. Seems the author was also pissed off with all these Guzman nuthugging. Perhaps, the product of constantly reading Big Guy's Guzman threads and remembering with disgust the Supernatural tag bestowed by Amsterdam.:yep He took it all to Guzman, no holds barred.:deal
No I did not write that article, although I agree completely with every point the author wrote. Guzman has disgraced himself with this weight fiasco and it refects poorly upon the sport as a whole.
Sure you did not write that? As someone who is pretty annoyed with Guzman's penchant for showboating in the ring, it was not only a good read, I tend to agreed with his views there.
The writer of the article is a douche and makes it look like guzmans all to blame. He says some shiet about how guzman isn't active enough and that he has never fought any of the elite yet talks big. How the hell can he fight any of the elite if they all keep avoiding him? He has to talk shiet or else he wouldnt be able to get the fight. Sure, coming in 3.5 lbs heavier is a disgrace, but the guy didnt even get to explain himself. You don't know his reasons, he's a professional and has been around for a long time. He's not gonna **** up this badly without having a good excuse. Not a lot of people want to put their fighters against guzman because the guy isn't famous but is fukn hard to fight. He isn't exciting enough to generate enough of a fan base but has been in the game for a looong time, so a lot of boxers know how good he is. Props to nate for taking the fight though.
There is good excuse for this. He ****ed up and made himself look like a fool in the biggest fight of his life.
That is what I had been saying for a long time. Avoiding and being avoided is one trait that is attributed to Guzman. Assuming for argument's sake that he is being avoided, I am sure that there are at least top ten fighters willing to fight him instead of fighting patsies ranked nowhere in any boxing organization. It seemed like their strategy is to preserve that 0 loss column by fighting patsies then challenge someone like Pac, and other big name fighters when he was almost at retirement age. Guzman is actually the biggest tomato can fighter (having held the WBO title for so long against patsies). Calzaghe pales in comparison to him. Probably, only Valero is comparable.
Let's just say that he has been avoided by the top dogs, but how can he not dedicate himself to train and make weight for the fight of his life? This is his biggest fight but he isn't grabbing this opportunity to make himself more "marketable". Bye GUZ RUN! :hi:
nice article :good maybe guzman feels that this is not a big fight and just took for granted his training since he knew that he is the favorite.
They should all be welcome I guess. But I think you can not write about your favorite fighter.:yep j/k
nate should'nt have said this "When the bell rings, you give your soul to GOD, your ass to me." i think it scared guzrun:hi:
