An aspect of Usyk's career nobody talks about

It’s laughable when, foul tactics are highlighted, some people invoke the old “It ain’t tennis, you know” OR “If you ain’t cheat’n’ you ain’t try”n’”.

As if they’re happy to accept and have perpetuated, negative features of the sport, features that would likely deter new fans jumping on board.

Usyk fights perfectly clean and I’ve noted same before, myself. As such, he has earned every right to expect to be treated exactly in kind - and that includes him highlighting fouls that refs let go.

Fury clearly tried to set up so that Usyk might be viewed as a sook even in the event of Tyson’s punches straying, going on or below the belt -

    - and several of Fury’s punches did go there - without any action by the ref.

Even the question of where Uysk’s trunks sit was a false set up.

They sit perfectly. As such, hit Olek below the belt, then you have legitimately fouled him - no illusions.

Also, there are no illusions that Usyk can take it to the body - do they still hurt? Of course. Usyk isn’t exactly Robinson Crusoe in that regard.

Then look at where Dubois’ and Fury trunks sit - like, am I taking crazy pills? Lol.

Fury hitched his trunks for a joke photo shortly following the Dubois fight - they weren’t far above where he normally wears them - self incrimination, much? Hit him an inch or two below the nipple, then you’ve “fouled” him.

So yeah, Usyk definitely deserves considerable extra credit for keeping it pristinely clean - he doesn’t need fouls to crutch deficiencies in his game otherwise. His victories have been achieved in the most pure of manners.

People should understand when they’ve finally got a supreme ambassador and advertisement for the sport - at every level and, at HW, no less. For certain others, those facts seem to be somewhat lost on them.

As for the projected rematch in December, can we expect a pro Fury ref again (deliberately intended or not) and a few dodgy judges?

For all the cleanliness in the fight - Usyk basically made it so. He mooted foul tactics/poor officiating by simply being so much better than Fury via pure boxing ability.

Will the officials go even harder next to tip it in Fury’s favour? - enough to eradicate any positive reviews of the fight that has just gone down - only to give boxing yet another black eye?

Once again Joshua in a topic that has nothing to do with him. Who is the hater, h?
There was a compilation of Fury fouls in the Usyk fight, which was more of a referee incompetence video.
If i see it in tube i will share it, but won't waste time searching for the thread or youtube specifically.

I'm not claiming all of his shots were low, but there was low blows and hip shots. Referee even stopped the context at 1 point to clarify the shot was low.
Curious why you are not crying now about high shorts? Were your boy shorts low or high ? Who the heck is allowed to wear his shorts next to his fatty tits? Boxing is such a biased corruption sport, it's unreal.

There was plenty of rabbit punches, which most people on here saw. 2 headbutts as well, one open the cut on Usyk right eye, and the paid actor referee somehow decide to miss it, just for the next round to say the cut was open by a punch lol.
There was holding and hitting as well.
Go search for the video if you can't see in the fight.

I have already rewatched the fight couple of time to see if i got my scoring wrong, but nope i was one of the few that got it right on the first watch, alongside the good scorers on this site, like CST80, etc.
Now i'm rewatching Round 9 and the Happy New Year charts.

i dont think he fakes low blows. i think hes legit getting hit in a prohibited area. however, i do think he uses the penalties strategically.

Thought Fury fought really well skill-wise, and that it was a really close fight (Usyk wasn't levels above). Also, I think he does deserve some of the credit for this particular fight being do clean, as he didn't seem to attempt to make it otherwise.

    Other than that, great post.

Cheers. Fury did do several things outside the rule book - but I won’t belabour point.

I’ve still only had the one viewing except for rewatching selected HLs here and there.

I do recall Usyk doing a nice job of turning Fury on several occasions when Tyson tried to hold -

Perhaps he even ducked his head under Fury’s arm to manoeuvre himself to either Fury’s side or even almost behind him.

Ahh, that'll be the FP inspired 'Gazelle Butt'.

Usyk can reach corner to corner on a good day.

OR, He could also do a classic Eric Morecambe face slap or a Benny Hill head slap.

What about taking the Bruce Forsyth bicep pose but transitioning it into a flying uppercut? That would do some real damage (to the opponent's ego) if it landed.
