Firstly, let me begin by saying I'm a huge Carl Froch fan, but I'm also an honest boxing fan. I had the score 115-113 last night to the Cobra. It was an excellent fight, both men were as superb outside the ring as they were in it and are an absolute credit to the sport. However, one man provided tainted goods. 118-110 was a joke. To some extent, it slightly tarnished Froch's victory and it made a mockery of a great warrior like Mikkel Kessler. My suggestion to end this **** is compulsory TV interviews for the judges within the same time frame as the fighters themselves. I don't think "home cooking" from a conspiracy point exists. I can understand judges being swayed by a home crowd. I've been at fights that I've scored heavily in favour of the home boxer, only to get home, re-watch the fight, and score it much closer - unaffected by the crowd noise. If the judges knew they were going to have to explain their actions to the masses straight after the fight, surely add a greater degree of accountability and accuracy? At the very least, it would provide us fans with some explanation. No other man in the world scored that fight 118-110...
every fight nowadays has atleast 1 crackpot scorecard it cant come as a shock anymore the judges who do it time and time again should just be made to expalin there reasoning after or just ****ed off - but the promoters like to have there bankers onboard the whole scoring system probably needs a major overhaul but what would you do to simplyfiy and improve it im not sure
Adalaide Byrd scored it 118-110 Not the 1st time she has seen a different fight to the rest of the world.
When 118-110 was announced you could hear the whole stadium collectively say "what?!" I bet the judge realised then that she'd ****ed up.
