    R1: 10-9 L
    2: 10-9 D
    3: 10-9 D
    4: 10-8 L *KD
    5: 10-9 D
    6: 10-9 D
    7: 10-8 L
    8: 10-9 L
    9: 10-9 D
    10: 10-9 L

Matthyse wins 95-93 (or 95-94 without the 10-8 round in #7 [No Knockdown])

This is the only way to score the fight. Why Lucas fanboys are pretending Matthyse is so ****ing good, I've got no clue. He's slightly better than Devon Alexander lmao

Also, many people complain about Alexander holding but fail to issue the same complaint for Matthyse who holds his opponents with one hand then hits with the other. Seriously, it's a shitty double standard.

Lucas is a good fighter at 140. He's not elite.

So you agree he clearly won the fight and still want to hold it against him? :blood

It was a close fight but I gave the nod to Matthyse. I would not be outraged at a draw though.

What I don't get is why Matthyse is heralded as the next ****ing coming by some people on these boards.

He's a good fighter, absolutely. But he's not some P4P all-star. If he fights someone like Peterson, who is a monster inside fighter/body destroyer, he's going to get hurt. Plain and simple. IN MY OPINION

You just declared it was the only way the fight could be scored yet now want to justify a draw as well? Beyond that, which wins by guys currently competing at 140 are so much more impressive than Matthysse's over Alexander? Finally, most everyone thinks Matthysse has improved significantly since that fight which he should have won.

Devon was still considered hot **** back then. The fact is few of the top 140lbers have squared off, so it leaves us guessing and basing it off of their performances against lesser fighters. So far Matthysse has looked increasingly better, especially with the way he beat up Soto.

    Your a ****!

Are you American? if you are you'll know that Devon Alexander is one of your most accomplished decotared ama boxers in terms of win/loss ratio in your history!

The kid is a talented fighter, he's a multiple time world champion? what are you? you bum!

Matthyse is a top class JrWW. he holds a pretty decent case for being at least ranked inside the top 3 in the world currently, CAN YOU?

    ****in twat :deal

LM has improved with every fight since. He places his punches better and uses a touch more craft to set them up.

Matthysse was robbed in his fight with Alexander and Judah..................

Peterson wants to fight in his home town only, that is "ONLY" in his hometown with his referee and judges again, esp. if he fights Matthysse. Matthysse should refuse to fight Peterson in Peterson's home town. He will only get cheated once again. The ref will protect Peterson, and the judges will have their cards already filled out. This is a set up fight................If Matthysse knocks Peterson out, they will still give the fight to Peterson. There is no way to beat Peterson in his home town. Khan beat Peterson, but there was a crooked referee and judges. Wonder if they will allow Peterson to take drugs again? I know that this is a set up. Matthysse was guaranteed a fight with the winner of Judah/Garcia fight, yet he is being cheated out of that fight. If Matthysse were to fight Peterson, it should be in a neutral area/venue, not in Peterson's home town. Boxing is very crooked and Peterson is being protected once again and always will be.

LM vs Lamont Peterson would be a hell of a fight.

Lol... refs don't "protect" fighters. Matthyse just holds his opponents (a la Ghost) and punches with the other hand. In case you're new to boxing, that's illegal

Huh? Since Alexander Lucas's opposition has decreased steadily.

His best win since Alexander was against Olusegun who was inactive for more than a year before their fight.

Legit scoring! proving once again the myth of Matthysse being some sort of beast is unwarranted. Alexander and Judah= two guys who are clearly mental weaklings and have been frustrated and quit or been stopped by far lesser punchers were'nt able to be stopped by the big beast Matthysse.

Garcia would beat Matthysse imo so would JMM and Peterson stands a good chance but would likely lose. Broner would beat Matthysse too.
