It would be stupid to go into an immediate rematch against a man who knocked you down 4 times. Joyce took an immediate rematch against Zhang and it destroyed his career. Joyce still holds an impressive win against Dubois, but it doesn't mean much these days. It's an emotional decision that usually makes things worse instead of making things better. Rematches should be reserved for competitive matches, not one-sided beatings of cash cows.
Ruiz I could understand, because change of opponent/underestimated him maybe and had a little fluke element to it This was an absolute massacre. If Aj goes into this fight next? That will be the end of his career But if he continues to fight, where else does he go? Wilder? Because he sure as he'll ain't getting Fury/usyk next Also I doubt he will want to build himself backup fighting easy matches like the past 2 years. Let's be real, his recent opponents have been terrible. Fury struggling with Ngannou doesn't make him a legit opponent, it just showed how unprepared and s..t Fury was Wallin is a decent win yes, but he doesnt have a punch. It was a stylistic dream set up to increase Ajs confidence The point is, Aj was fighting setups, while Dubois was in the trenches against real opposition and it showed That is why Aj looked more nervous, as he hasn't been in a real fight since usyk and especially of someone with Dubois power. He knew he was getting hit back this night I will give Joshua credit for hanging in there. He did prove me wrong and was not a quitter. I 100% retract that statement, but he's been a protected fighter since Ruiz, usyk withstanding
