This fight would have been a great to watch, two southpaws, can move , with power...Joe C. would have the spped, but Santos has the power, Santos style will create some issues for Joe C., Joe C, might prevail by desicion but not before some interesting moment, this fight I strongly beleive would be closer than many would predict...

At this point in their careers, the fight might not have the interest that possibly a few years back this fight could had created.....yet intersting match without a doubt....Santos would have given Joe C. a fat better fight thst some of his earlier opponentS like Kessler, Lacy, the Contender ...this fight would have been as competitive as the BHop fight...

Now this fight doesn;t present any financial estimulus for Joe C....

Calzaghe walks into the ring at 180+ he is clearly not only a much bigger man than Santos he is way more skilled.

Now he walks in the ring at 180, but a few yeard back say Lacy time, he walk around at 170 or so for his bout, and even before the Lacy fight, sure he is skilled but so is Santos..

Laisten I like Joe C. and I am a fan of his skilles, but fighting Santos a few years backa t 168, would have make for an intersting match...Santos is not a chump..in fact..I like his chabce if he ever fight PW....

At this point I agree....I like I said, at the time before the Lacy fight...

And again..I will said this Sanos would ahve give Joe C a far better fight than many opponents...at 168...now yes Joe C. is way bigger than Santos....Ssntos is a skillful boxer/puncher....add to that he is a southpaw also, and you have a fight

not sure why this is posed.

santos is way to small to fight joe calzaghe.

say hypothetically santos did step up to 168, he would be slower/have less punch output and have heavier legs and less power and stamina from carrying much more than he is used to.

i watched the dzindurek fight when a stand up straight european boxer was to good technically for santos.

i remember the fight when he was dropped by british 147 fighter neil sinclair.

simply do not understand what you beleive he brings to the table for him to be considered a threat.

Because Calzague slaps and is waiting to be exposed by anyone who's not shot or a walking corpse.

He did not walk into the ring vs Lacy at 170, at least he would have walked into the ring at high 170's minium.

He was 185 or so against Roy at 175, Santos is much much smaller, and significantly less skilled. Calzaghe would have given him a pasting.

The style of Santos is one that would ahve given Joe C. trouible, just the fact that you would have two southpaws...

And ass hole, how many fighters have jump two weight classes and won or had a good show..it have happened in many time, furthermore, how about a catch weight...given Santo would not have brought to the table enought to merit a catch weight fight...

And we have plenty of prescedent on this particular issue of mving various weight classes...most recently Pacquiao did it against an old and over the hill ODLH, but many of you taught thisw would be bore, and Pacquiao would have problems handles the weight for a guy that strted at 4 weight classes from were he fought ODLH, and beat ODLH ...

    Please ...don't act stupid....
