Good read, I don't think what Froch said about the fight with Kotlenik was being a boring one was neccessarily a dig at Khan, Kotlenik's style made it boring, anyways Froch is one to talk!!!

Good read, Its a shame Khan is so hated in his own country. he was shy to show his belt in wild card gym.

 

I like Khan, always have. He's boring to watch now, but he's very good and a nice kid.

 

My son in law Craig McEwan and daughter Sally have become friendly with Amir since he started training at The Wildcard. They tell me that he is the nicest guy you could hope to meet. Remember he is a young lad, and many who have success so young can become cocky and arrogant. It says a lot for Amir that he has remained modest and humble, while retaining the self confidence that every champion boxer needs to succeed at the highest level.
Like all young people he misses his friends and family at home, but he is totally focussed on his boxing in LA. He received a massive setback early in his career that would have destroyed a lesser man. But Amir had the character to come back from it and become a World Champion. Its good that the majority of boxing fans in Britain are now 100% behind him because, lets be honest, a lot of the hatred was down to pure,old fashioned racism.

I know that i've personally had to go to a couple of his fights on my own because of racism with my friends. They give it the whole 'why the **** does he wear a pakistani gumshield if he's so 'British' I'm not going to watch him.

Grendal i saw some good photo's from the gym of your daughter, Craig and Amir, they had a baby with them too (Grandchild?????).

Anyways like you said he seems a very nice kid in my eyes and I wish him all the best. Would be a shame if he left for LA though down to hatred. A real shame

Calzaghe and Enzo Mac have/had the Italian flag on their shorts. Witter and Munroe have both the flag of St.George and the Jamaican flags on their shorts. I see no problem with that.

Its easy for them to make stupid comments when others are around in the pub but i'm trying to steer away from that as its reckless and I dont want my child to be brought up with racist attitudes and with any bearing of prejudice. Its far to easy to say things that you do not mean without fully comprehending the effect it may have on others :good

 

For the majority of their careers they were the same weight, Murray could easily step up.

 

I met Khan in Vegas for the Calzaghe Hopkins fight.

He seems a genuinely nice kid.
