i agree with 99% of what you write jeffro....but 'boring'..do you really think so...you a connoisseur of the sport and all..

Khan is a nobhead though. 'people can't appreciate a World champion', yeah you ain't the proper champ though Amir you nob!

The slow, pondering Kotelnik was taylor made. It was a mouthwatering tear-up so i will give Amir props for that.... oh wait a sec.

 

Hmmm, slight exaggeration of how **** a fighter Khan is. He is definitely not a **** fighter, yes he has had a slightly easier route to a world title then alot of British fighters, but nevertheless he is a British champion and we should get behind him for the good of our country and boxing in general in britain.
Yanks can't believe the hate we give Khan, they can't believe how we can be so racist to our own countryman fighter. I have to admit, most people I know who don't like Khan, at least 50-60% have insulted his race in one way or another.
Khan has fought one of the best 140lbs out there and beat him and hasn't got the respect he deserves, now is fighting the No.1 contendor will he get respect then...unlikely...

 

Id give him respect if he fought the man who actually deserves a shot at the WBA title, Maidana. Let's see if Khans 'improved neck and legs' gets him through that one. Urango is ponderous and a winnable fight, but I'd give Khan massive kudos for that.

 

Why is Maidana flavour of the month all of a sudden? The guy does have decent power, but has little skill and is as chinny as Khan. Ortiz had him down twice with absolutely nothing shots...all Maidana is is another convenient stick to beat Khan with

 

I dunno, the first short right was clean and accurate, and the other two kds seemed to bamboozle him. This is what makes it an intriguing fight, Khan could easily outbox Maidana, but Maidana showed his powers of recovery, resiliance and awkward assault in that fight which makes me think he would be a good yardstick to measure just how good Khan is. Put him in with an opponent that will make it difficult for him. I don't know about you but I like my fighters to seek out the most difficult of tasks and beat them. Until then he can stop saying people 'don't respect a real world champ' coz he isn't one. Only my opinion :good

 

I think the key here is decent power. Put Khan in with someone that can bang and see if he is the real deal. Since the Prescott fight it seems like Khan is getting opponents who are hand picked for their lack of power. Understandable but it does little to discredit the claims that he is chinny or enhance Khan's credibility IMO.

 

I honestly think Tim Bradley would outbox and stop Khan within five rounds

 

Bradley would be a real challenge, not Maidana, but he is quite slow and he actually made Junior look animated at times

 

Now there's a good test for Khan. :good What do you think about about Devon Alexander? Personally I think Khan would outbox him comfortably.

 

The Alexander that beat Witter is there for the taking...not sure that he would take a Khan fight at the moment

 

Alexander seemed quite sloppy in the Witter fight. Think is, like a lot of guys Alexander probably has enough power to stop Khan (Salita probably has) but Id go for Khan to win on points. Any fight involving Khan will be Hell to watch, seems he's going to be an 'all or nothing' Frank Bruno type. Laid out savagely or doing enough to win.
