    I wish people would stop repeating this. The camera was not halted by police. The original film of the fight actually showed the stoppage and everything. When one remembers that these camera platforms were about 30 feet in the air it becomes easier to see how ridiculous it would be for a policeman to be able to see that Burns was getting brutalized, scramble all the way up, and stop the cameras. In any case, it never happened. Its easy to find reviews of the film which state quite plainly what was shown and that includes the stoppage.
