My goodness, I say you go and fight Hopkins. I'll get with my people and you get with your people and we will try to make this thing happen. Should be a good one.

Doesn't matter, my point is that he was looking to MAKE the fight even though it didn't work out. You want him to fight Cunningham who's last fight is a loss to Adamek?, Hopkins is 44 he's not there to build status, it's either big fights or nothing at this point.

If Dawson is soooooooo great, why is he barely squeaking past senior citizens in front of hundreds of ticket-buying fans?

Apparantly better at analyzing styles than your hero, who just went 36 rounds against fighters with a combined age of 80. He's hardly banging them out left right and centre is he? However, I heard Rocky Balboa is thinking of making a comeback, so it's not ALL bad news. Maybe if he fights someone old enough they'll expire in round 6 and he'll get a precious TKO.

If Dawson is so great in your book, why does he not give Johnson a rematch? So if he decides to fight Dawson and beats him, then what? You will find another fighter and start another letter that Hopkins still has to prove himself. Let him fight whoever he wants. He is over 40 and we are lucky to see him fight anyone. Actually, he should retire and enjoy his money.

Even if he fights and beats Dawson then he's scared to death from Adamek and so on, it just won't stop, the BHop hating is typical and pathetic.

Chad Dawson isnt in Bernards league Bernard will beat him......the best thing a 44 year old bernard can do is go after Frochs title at 168( a weight he never won a title in ) and call it a career.

That 'open letter' (which I doubt he'll ever read) is a joke.

Hopkins avoids fighters with high output - like Calzaghe?? Pavlik is renowned for having a high output also, what did Hopkins do there? Took it away. Hopkins probably won't ever fight Dawson because however good he may be, Dawson isn't a big name and isn't terribly exciting to watch IMO. He's good, but to say Hopkins has to face Dawson in order to stop 'fooling the silly masses into swallowing your 'legacy' of greatness' is one of the most ridiculous things i've ever read on here.

"You are a cherry picking fraud" - if you seriously think that about Hopkins you should quit following boxing altogether. Fighting prime Jones is cherrypicking? How about moving up two weight divisions to fight the perceived best LHW? How about fighting an unbeaten fighter in Calzaghe with a high output, despite being 43? How about fighting Pavlik, an unbeaten fighter who many pundits picked to KO Bernard? Prime Tito who many also felt Hopkins wouldn't be able to handle.

Dawson brings nothing to the table financially and that's why Hopkins won't fight him. I've seen some of your posts going on about how great Froch is, and about how great Calzaghe is in the past, so that 'open letter' really surprises me. Do you only like British fighters?

HBO would never approve the fight, in the short term they will make money, but in the long run if hopkins beats dawson then it will cost them. HBO see chad dawson as the new face of american boxing, the new floyd mayweather. at this stage of his career a loss for dawson caould derail his progress, they want steady progress so they can build his resume against B+C level fighters.

for dawson the possible fights for him are against the likes of jermaine taylor, jeff lacy, lucian bute and possibly roy jones.

If Dawson wants Hopkins so badly, he can always go and take Adamek's Ring magazine belt himself.

The ball is actually in Chad's hands.
