RICO, You are dumb as **** here.

Cotto stopped fighting and in the case of PROFESSIONAL BOXING, the act of quitting the way that its being thrown around here is MORE THAN just the act of just no longer taking part in the fight.

When a boxer can NO LONGER PERFORM what he is doing, He cannot fight, his body is shut down and its OVER. Cotto was beaten to a bloody pulp, he COULD not perform any longer he did not quit, If he did quit then HE STOPPED fighting in a state where he COULD PHYSICALLY CONTINUE.

Who the **** is your ***** ass to say that he COULD? Did Kosta Tszyu quit when he had like 2 broken ribs and a fractured jaw? Hatton ****ED him up, and Cotto was ****ed up even worse spraying blood out of his mouth eyes swollen, lungs extremely exhausted and his Equilibrium was on the point of destruction.

If Cotto were to get up and continue fighting Marg would have KO'd him within 20 seconds, and so what the **** difference does 20-30 seconds have to do with the claim that Cotto quits?

WHEN A FIGHTER IS ****ED UP TO THAT POINT, THEY DON'T QUALIFY AS A QUITTER.

I hope I helped your arrogant worthless brain understand the reality, FFS

You're right, if Cotto had done an acting job, took a shot and stayed down and rolled around, none of these poodles would have anything to talk about. These guys cloak their agenda of denigrating Cotto by rationalizing the scarlet letter of "He quit but there is nothing wrong with it".

So everyone who says Cotto is a quitter, tell me: Is Ali a quitter? SRR? Arguello? Tyson? Other great fighters you can think of who are quitters?

I don't know, but I definitely saw him look towards his corner when he took the 2nd knee and then the corner throw the towel in.

For those who think I'm lying check out the fight again or this weekend watch the replay. He looked at his corner and then they threw the towel in.

Sorry, not a marathon a run, sorry if this offended you since you are a real marathon runner.

Man wat fight were you watching, every1 could sens that after that 1st time he fot hurt the momentum of th fight started to change in Margo's favor. Im not here bashing Cotto or nothing, he fought smart. But after the first time h got hurt, he was in survival mode the rest of the fight. Cotto hit him with everythin he had, but couldnt do anything to Margo. Every1 saw that momentum shifted, Cotto wanted to just make it out with the W. But he didnt have the stamina to continue to box a style he isnt use 2. Cotto got beaten Mentally, which in turn got him beaten down physically.

You hit a man with all you have, you cant hurt him, he keeps coming, you are boxing out of you confort zone, something you rent use 2, your getting hit. And you cant do anything about it, it will mess with you. Only certian people have the mental capacity to overcome that, and rise above it. Cotto did all he could, but margo broke him mentally and then physically

At one moment, it was clear that his Margarito had broken Cotto's spirit. Cotto walked backwards, wasn't defending himself and then he suddenly went down as soon as Margarito was close. He didn't want to continue the fight in that moment.

I can appreciate the fight and, at the same time, not appreciate Cotto's last actions inside the ring.

I think he looked good losing and i dont think he quit....obviously because his corner are the ones who threw in the towel and jumped on the ring

Annnnnnndddddd Cotto could still beat the majority of cats in the division...

exactly, after Cotto got hurt the 1st time, he lost whatever mental edge h thought he had. Margo broke him down mentally, and cotto was just trying to survive the rest of the fight. We mustve watched the same fight, other people on here watched something different

How many fights have you actually watched? When hurt a fighter will look to his corner for instruction, this is not an indication that they want the fight stopped. Boxing is and always has been a noble art and is never meant to be to the death....if you are sick enough to want that then **** off to UFC or some other unlicensed event so you can get your hard on. You people really make me puke.

I've seen many fights and I know that when a fighter has no intentions of giving up he will usually follow the refs instructions and prepare to fight again. Cotto took a knee from a punch "HE THOUGHT WAS COMING" and then looked at his corner, ready for them to throw in the towel. That seems like he was acknowledging defeat and looking for a way out.

Everything else you brought up is irrelevant, try to stay on topic.

I disagree with someone reading something in to the fact that Cotto looked to his corner. As stated above, all fighters look to the corner. The towel came in just after he looked to the corner. Unless Evangelista Cotto is Spiderman, I'm guessing Cotto saw his uncle standing on the ring apron, and in his half knocked out state, just wondered what the hell he was doing there. I can't conceive that Cotto looked to his corner and Evangelista read his mind (that he wanted to quit) and jumped up there and threw in the towel in a slipt second. More likely, Evangelista saw his nephew getting ready to get hurt worse and acted on his own. I'd bet money too that Miguel's father thanked him for taking care of his son in that moment. Nobody quit.
