dear rick, last night left me feeling cold, upset and physically sick as it did to all of your faithful hatton army. seeing any boxer get hit flush the way you did was a horrible sight and one which i never want to witness you go through again. which is why i ask you to hang the gloves up now, you've come so far and been so successful 2 weight world champion and the best 140lb fighter over the last 5 years. you have nothing left to prove to your critics, yourself and most of all your fans, you will go down as a a truely great fighter that is loved and will be missed. knowbody wants to see you get hurt badly again and tarnish your record and health in more fights. you've made so much money and many fans happy especially me witnessing first hand the homecoming at the city of manchester, which sent shivers down my spine and i thank you for that. put your feet up and enjoy time with your wonderful family, your son and future wife. most of all enjoy boxing from the other side of the ropes and push through the young talent this country has to offer with your promotional company. thank you ricky for an amazing career so far, you have let knowbody down, the country is proud of you, we need more people of your nature around
I agree. If Ricky Hatton or someone who knows him reads this: Ricky, you've taken the top fights that were out there, and regardless of the result, you went in there fought like a man. You've had a good career and don't need to prove anything. Go back to Manchester, spend some quality time with the people you care about, and just take it easy.
Nah, he can still make millions fighting lower level fighters, I bet he'll fight at least one more time.
as someone who knows some of his best friends. they said that after talkin to him today he doesnt wanna retire on this note. im sure he will be back to try to redeem himself
