The one thing that i have learnt from this forum is that even the most ridiculous senerios get played out down under on a regular basis , If Green v Briggs was sanctioned by the IBO you have a red hot chance of this proposed fight going ahead full steam ....

I personally wan Carnage to fight MMA and beat the **** out of the light heavys(93) kgs in mma.

I think he could become the UFC champ easily.Current champ being Shogun rua who is of a kickboxing background. But not Corbett like kickboxing background..

Why dont Green fight Hugo Garay??He owes him a fight..

Mate you love the OZ forum..

The General forum is full of ****wits.

The lounge is mostly full of blokes who claimed to have 12 inch dongs, sex symbol looks, ron jeremyesque in the sack and could beat the absolute **** out of anyone.

And the british forum is just plain BRITISH...:dead

Look rob, If this is same rod waterhouse that was the ex trainer of paul, nathen briggs and Les, which I think it mite be, You know boxing mate, Thai fighters only go so far in boxing, unless they fully comitt to the sport 24/7 and it still takes a couple of years to get good and sitting on there punches and handling a fighter with lateral movement, look at history of the last 15 years with thai fighter going to boxing, with total 24/7 focus on boxing they don't go past the aussie level.

Spot on Oz , but the Brit is ok as well but for sheer comedy to get my day off to a decent start it has to be the Aussie section , some real clued up fans of the sweet science here and mostly without the PC bull**** ....:good

Not sure green v some guy no one has heard of and has never boxed is a step in the right direction after the debacle last night.

Here's a thought...how about green gets his money hungry ass to the states and fight a rated cruiserweight at....cruiserweight!

    Why not Dom Vea?

His nose should be sweet in 2-3months and though greeny has his measure im sure it would be one slugfest.Dom is the current commonwealth champ and is actually a real Cruiser who comes to fight.

Was the clown who spoke those now famous words the same bloke who initially thought Green had done Briggsy with a body shot ?

when i watched the fight live..i thought that body shot stung briggs badly...and he just gave it up there and then.

he looked so nervous coming out....as someone that has had a fight , and i must say come in under-prepared...your nervous coz u may be about to get exposed massively..and i could sense that in Briggs.

so i can see what andy is thinking..coz i thought the same initially

No way could either a feeble pulled body shot like that or a jab to the forehead cause that much damage mate , iv'e listened to that clown call fights a few times now and he is clueless .

Not after Garay's last disappointing showing.

I heard he didnt train hard and lost alot of kgs in the lead and was stopped in 1 rd, seemed like he tried to milk a dq but the ref didnt take it

TCW yep its me alright and I guess you can say with some certainty that I know the game a bit better than most. I haven't got back into the game for one reason and thats the lack of suitable fighters that are prepared to do the really hard yards to be up at the pointy end of the tree. I can't agree with you entirely on the grounds that Thai/KB make ordinary boxers but they do go through a fairly long adjustment process. A lot of guys come to mind that started of on KB trail and fought at the elite level in boxing, the Klitscko (???) brothers for a couple, Troy Dorsey, Paul Briggs and quite a few others. These guys were natural fighters and adapted without to much effort, when you consider that they usually are fighting against 6 or 8 different weapons many of them consider boxing using just their hands is way easier. One of Briggs' favourite sayings! "How easy just to focus on someones hands only and not have to worry about someone elbowing or kicking the **** out of ya". To be honest I don't agree but that is their mentality and once some boxing skills are introduced, most of the top KB/Thai guys make very hard and good boxers. As you know some of the KB guys possess really good hands anyway so the jump to boxing is relative.
