IS boxing in such a bad state that just anyone can fight for a world title. Maybe the IBO would give him carry over points because Carnage is a world champ Muay Thai fighter atsch
Good to see you back, I hope all is good after what happened to you, get back to training fighters you know the game and can help kids and young men live there dreams, I agree with most of what you say about thai fighters, they can learn and adjust to boxing like Dorsey, paul briggs even adam watt to sound degree, The major difference I see is the talent pool of boxing compared to thai fighting and MMA, this is why it so hard to get to the top of the sport of boxing. there is over 20 000 pro fighters out there in 17 divisons, So the big time thai fighters out here are big fish in a small pond, you just don't get the big time pure athletes like meayweather, mosley, chad dawson,Amir khan,Gamboa the list go's on and on. good to see back Rod.
Carnage would have to be stupid to bother with Green. K-1 beckons and Carnage will get far better pay and exposure than wasting his time with Green. Maybe Green should rediscover his kickboxing skills - his boxing career is going ****in' nowhere.
From what I understand Carnage is out of the K1 scene because of some management hassle with his former manager. He has a contract for 4 fights in the US next year.
Silly me - I forgot the boxing crowd seems to never get enough of the Green / Mundine circus and will continue to line their pockets with millions as you suggest. Millions as you say - but not honest millions. Why in the **** would Carnage waste his time with a one off and in the process mix himself in with this debacle. An honest contest? Seems like many in Aussie boxing have forgotten in the greed for the millions.
Hi Rod.....were you looking after Briggs when he fought Larl Zada many moons ago....some say he took a dive or 2 in that fight?
what corbett making 15 grand bashing guys he could beat in his sleep at gold coast convention centre, the should have been fighting in HW K1 5 years ago. Green would smash corbett in a boxing contest. I would not go long. thai fighters only making it so far in boxing with out total focus on boxing, Parr tried to do both and he only made it to pacific level, when he fought the next level he got hammered silly by bika.
TCW you are very hard on Wayne saying that. You are correct that Wayne didn't focus on boxing because he had this insane love for MT that he couldn't be dragged away from. As with most fights I was ever offered by Jeff in was a days notice. Fenech is pretty smart and I guess I'm to blame for letting Wayne take them. We had 6 hours notice when JWP fought Hampden and I still believe Wayne should of got the choclates in that bout. As far as Bika goes it's much the same, Wayne was in training for a MT fight months away when Fenech/Hider called. He was ready for a fight but hadn't trained for boxing but still did the 12 rounds and nearly nailed Bika in the 1st round. Don't worrt TCW if Parr stayed boxing he would of achieved plenty just as he has done in MT, Pure heart and a nicer bloke you won't find on planet earth.
Ash, I trained Paul Briggs from the Moses Sorovi fight through to the Choo Ruiz fight at which time he become the mandatory #1 WBC contender. I've never seen the Zarda fight so I can't comment.
