An Unbiased P4P List (by Jeff Powell)

Carl Froch P4P. I will say it every time P4P and Froch are mentioned in the same sentence. If Froch is P4P than Manny is GOAT.

2 of his best wins are vs Jermaine Taylor and Glen Johnson. Both gave him tough fights. both are certifiably shot to **** when he fought them.
Neither are near ATG likeness of ODLH,COTTO,MOSLEY who could barely win a round vs Pacquiao and were straight up annihilated.

1-6 are the only names I'm sure of. There's probably a dozen guys who could fit into the remaining slots, so I figured I'd throw in some votes for some of the less mentioned choices.

 

And Ward's best wins are? Headbutting Kessler to a TKO?

If there was a P4P list for the level of competition (last 6 fights), Froch would be no 1. Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham and Johnson. He might not be the most likable guy out of the ring, but his style inside is fan friendly. We need more guys like Froch in boxing, putting everything on the line!

 

In or out of the ring don't matter he lost to Kessler, very tight with Dirrell ( I believe he lost) and fought too close for comfort with a completely shot 41 year old GJ. Unless he wins the Super Six by beating Ward he is not P4P.

A P4P fighter has to win the big fights at his weight. His two biggest are Kessler and Ward. He already lost one. Unless he beats Andre he is not even in the top 3 at 168 let alone P4P. Ward, Bute, Kessler.

 

So you say to be classed as p4p u need to beat the best yet u rate bute above him who hasnt had chance yet and you rate ward above him whos only big win is an injured kessler, the reality is until the three of them fight we wont see who is best, you just sound anti froch im afraid so your view is void.

 

He needed to beat Kessler and have a more convincing win vs Dirrell to be p4p.
His defense sucks and he has no power and has a great chin so his fights stretch the distance while he keeps his hands on his thighs, does it make for exciting fights ? Hell yeah. Is he P4P ? no ****in way.

I really don't see how he beats Ward but if he does he will be p4p on my list. that will more than make up for Kessler and Dirrell.
