My prediction for Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao:
This is a tough one to predict. I can’t make a solid prediction because somedays I see Mayweather schooling Manny and somedays after re-watching tapes of Manny Pacquiao I can see Manny winning. Both guys have the style that can beat each other and this is why people are clamoring for this fight.
If Floyd can keep his distance and make it a very tactical fight and get on his bike while countering off of the back foot he can beat Manny Pacquiao on points, I don’t see him hurting Manny, I think Floyd has to be really careful in this fight because if he breaks his hands, he will be dead meat against Manny especially if Manny knows you are hurt, he is like a lion attacking his prey.
If Manny Pacquiao brings the heat and attacks Floyd with heavy power combos to his arms, shoulders, body etc, gets in and gets out, and keeps Floyd guessing he could eventually catch Floyd in the later rounds getting a stoppage and all that punishment to the arms and body will make Floyds arms and legs heavy which will break his defense giving Manny an easier time to sneak punches in.
The only answer I can really give is…the boxer who use his strategy effectively wins.

Is that the only mayweather fight you saw. If you look at the fight, you should know that Manny shouldn't be fighting Floyd up close and in clinches

After all these yrs of Mayweather fighting, people still view Mayweather as some type of soft, weak boxer.

I didn't say Pac couldn't beat Mayweather so don't get all emotional.

I don't get how he could come to the conclusion that Mayweather would get stopped though when he has never even been knocked down by a punch. Lets give Mayweather a little more credit.

Plus he says that he don't think Mayweather can hurt Pacquiao. I doubt Mayweather would knock Pac out so that understandable as he won't take the necessary risk to try and do so. But I also think Mayweather would make Pac respect his punches. Especially at the speed and accuracy that they would be coming at.

You say the same thing in almost every thread. It is obvious you were watching a different fight than everyone else. Floyd isn't invincible. His fight with Hatton lasted for 10 rds. Hatton had to hit him eventually , but he never even came close to hurting him and he sure as hell rarely hit him with a clean shot.

IMO, only reason Hatton won any rounds was because Floyd let him. Hatton can thank his wrestling style for that.

:lol: *******. Judah didn't rock him. Judah knocked him off balance. It was more of a push than a punch. Plus theire feet were tangled up and he lost his balance.
Hatton hit Floyd, but he wasn't hurt, Floyd just didn't have to right footing there.
Now Mosley did get Floyd with 2 good shots and he didn't even run and walked Mosley down later in the round and got the best of Mosley with 30 seconds to go in the same round.

P.S. Mosley hits harder than Pacquiao :good

Lots of people, including me feel like that. Watch pac cotto or Marg and Mayweather is getting Hammered.

Watch Floyd Vs Mosleys and the same goes.

You got a point, but imo, he will be on top of hes game defending and countering, I dont think he will take ANY chances against Pacman. He can run all he wants, as long as he dont get hit. Hes harder to hit than Pacman that's for sure. What I would like to see is, IF Pacman can actually get in and able to land some combos. I dont worry about Mayweathers fights with castillo, judah, corley, hatton or whatever, because I believe the Mayweather we will see in this fight is a different better Mayweather. Im sure he has gameplans already against Pacman, and have studied him for what? 2 years now?. But I always believe great defense beats any offense in every sport. My opinion.

Yep, I hate to say it, but you really are a dumbass. Both times was from Floyd being off balance. Judah should have gotten the knockdown but he sure as hell never hurt Floyd. Hatton's glove never even touched Floyd's face. Hatton came in fast, Floyd side stepped him and almost fell due to being off balance. Go watch it again in slowmo.

Manny's only chance is to stay on the outside and dart in and out, but I don't even think that will work because Floyd's footwork, ring generalship and timing will be a nightmare for him.

There is a reason this fight hasn't happened, and it's because Arum, Roach and Pac want to make as much money as they can without Floyd first, before risking a one-sided loss to him.

Floyd's style is a nightmare for any fighter, but for Pac....it's worse because it interrupts what he is great at.

Just see what JMM was able to do to Pac and look at what skills and attributes JMM used to do it: Timing, Counterpunching, Footwork. Floyd is the best in the sport at all of those things, and JMM is a far 2nd.

A lot of guys have never been knocked down only to get KO'd. There's always a first. Especially when late in a guys career combined with periods of inactivity.

If Corley and SSM can wobble Floyd's legs, I don't see why Pac doing the same or worse is so hard to fathom.

I would be surprised, but not shocked if Floyd was (T)KO'd.

How long have you been watching boxing? Ihave seen those same tactics from legends of the sport since the 70's.

    1. He has never thrown elbows, and I dare you to find evidence of this. And I have seen almost every fight he has been in. He pushes people's heads up with his forearm during clinches to keep them from placing punches. You can't throw punches when you can't see where there going. Genius strategy that more boxers should employ.

    2. Do you know how many boxers I have seen lean on boxers when there head is down. Seen Ali do it, Sugar Ray Leonard also. It tires your opponent out faster. It is a common old school tactic used by many fighters today, not just Floyd.
