An Unprecedented Feat!

    Bob Fitzsimmons pressing his claim for a rematch with Jim Jeffries, took on the number one and two contenders Gus Ruhlin and Tom Sharkey in the space of two weeks.He ko'd Ruhlin in 6 brutal rounds beating him so badly it was thought Ruhlin might die , he then destroyed Sharkey in 2 rounds.Has anyone ever got near to,duplicating such a feat against top contenders in such a short time span? I've certainly never heard of such an occurrence.

    I highly doubt it, certainly not against two highly ranked fellas so close together!

    Beyond bad @ss.

    I had a Fitz Appreciation Thread on here earlier. People really need to think about him when ranking the All Time Greats. He's up there with Langford, Robinson and Greb IMO.
