Looking at the build up, both guys seem well-prepared and focused and I'm looking forward to the big night to see how it pans out. I hope Canelo hasn't let Mayweather get under his skin with the All-Access taunts. I think it will likely be a Mayweather decision victory but with such a big fight I see myself envisioning all sorts of endings and over-analysing. I think the odds are pretty correct all things considered.

Canelo needs to find a way to neutralize Floyds signature right hands .

I dont see Floyd being very active in this fight , from the look of it , his right hand really got HURT in the Guerrero fight . I dont think hes going risk that happening again by throwing full force shots . hes going to depend on a lot of head movement and foot work in this fight .

If he messes up his hand AGAIN in this fight . Hes going to be in BIG Trouble .

MAY THE BEST MAN WIN .

If you were advising Canelo, what tips would you give him? How does he beat Mayweather? What does he do if he finds himself behind going into the later stages of the fight?

Just a couple of holes in your opening thread (a long winded but slightly better than average read, well done :good). Zab Judah put Mayweather down and Trout "not near to Mayweathers level" IMO holds a better chance of beating Floyd than Canelo does. Dont expect Floyd to mention Trout once in the future, Trout is a real handful, the guy is enormous for the weight and is pretty well rounded, his output and work rate is somewhat ridiculous and had he not been floored by Canelo he would have beat him :deal

Canelo needs to punch to Mayweathers body, and not the silly shots that Oscar threw in clinches I'm talking working off jabs and right hands, the good thing for Canelo is that he does that anyway, its just a matter of adding strategy to a natural style. Canelo is a very good combination puncher and a natural body puncher.

I think people are going to be surprised how well Canelo jabs with Floyd, if he can jab with him IMHO he beats him.

The beautiful thing about Canelo Alvarez is his well schooled thorough, measured approach to boxing, he never lunges in, he never pushes his shots, he's very very rarely off balance. He is a very well schooled boxing machine, therefore he will not present Floyd with that much to work with in terms of presenting opportunity.

Like everybody before him barring Castillo, the question will be, how is Canelo going to react when he realises how good Floyd is, will he stay with his principles or will he get desperate to stay in the fight. I thought Cotto done a great job at being Cotto for all of 10 rounds and then Floyd finally broke him, Guerrero could do nothing with Floyd from the opening exchange, Ortiz completely lost the plot and so on ................... fighting a superior elite boxer will do that to any top fighter, its natural.

I believe Canelo wins this fight mainly due to his size and punching ability among many other variables. Canelo is a tough young man who is hungry, extremely gifted, and significantly stronger than Floyd.

I like Canelo in this fight personally. 115-113
