Pavlic by KO in 5 --- too much class for Lockett.
Lopez by KO in 9 --- Ponce cant box a lick. Basically painful to watch.
Mora by decision --- Mora too fast. Forest too old.
Quintana --- Always easier the 2nd time. You cant change much in 6 months. Williams just hasnt got it against a real fighter. Got lucky with Margo who started way too slow.

 

Highly unofficial predictions:

Quintana, TKO10 Paul Williams

Strong, confident, and undefeated, Williams did not have enough power or stamina for Quintana, losing a close decision. This time, looking fairly weak at the weigh-in, I fully expect Carlos to emerge in a war of attrition.

Vernon Forrest, TKO5 Sergio Mora

Forrest plays with Mora for a while before ending matters suddenly. Maybe Mora goes the distance, but no way in hell he competes well with "The Viper".

Daniel Ponce-De Leon KO6 Jose Manuel Lopez

I smell an upset, as Lopez, winning and attempting to stop the stopper, is caught by De Leon's looping left-hand. Or something along those lines.

Kelly Pavlik, KO1 Gary Lockett

Well, Lockett ... eh, what can I say?

 

I think lockett will be a bit more of a test than some people think,but that said i think pavlik will do him inside the distance.

But never say never,i dont think pavliks chin has been tested and lockett is a big hitter,i mean taylor had him wobbled and he's not a big hitter.

Should be a good fight though.

Well seems as if Taylor could put more of a dent then Lockett...

 

Damn I only got 2/4.atsch

 

But that was a shocker, you picked a competitive decision, had Quintana not been Koed(very odd, Williams is a light hitter), he would have likely easily found his counterpunching rythym again and take the first stretch of rounds, then we would have seen if he had the stamina to continue.

Nobody picked, or thought that an early TKO for Williams was a likely thing.

Now the real discussion is was it a fluke KO, or does Williams really have serious power that was disguised by poor technique for a while?:think
