Wow, three strikes man ... whiff C'mon .. Lockett is a big hitter while Jermaine Taylor is not a big hitter .. lol How can that be taking seriously? How can you watch Lockett fight bums .. come to the conclusion he's a big hitter .. watch Taylor .. and come to the conclusion he's not?
I think so, he already found his mark with the straight left again, would have depended on his stamina. But I can't explain the power situation just yet, it wouldn't have mattered if Quintana won 8 rounds straight if Williams has power indicative of tonight, or if that was just an odd fluke. I'm curious to find out. I eat full crow for getting that as wrong as can be. Not at all, just ridiculous picks, like the smaller, slower, sloppier Linares over Gamboa, a terrible style for him. Those types have me thinking - huh whe th guy proved he can take a LW shot and keep coming with bombs, much less a FW who isn't even a big hitter there. Why I responded as such with Williams is that I never got the hype on him, had him over Margarito, had Quintana over him first go around and I figured that would essentially be the last of him at Welter. The performances against Sharmbay and Pakau definitely werent impressive, he was unloading immense amounts of shots on glass jawed journeyman Pakau and they were doing nothing to Pakau, see what I mean about the oddity here? Nobody expected a first round KO, I was genuinely shocked at that, first time in a while. Odd results are sometimes not surprising given factors, but Quintana's never shown chin problems and Williams has never shown anything that suggests KO power, it wasn't a bad surprise, if he can improve more and more he makes for a more exciting player around those divisions.
