So i've never seen Diaz fight, but looking at his record, i think this is a safe fight for morales to get a title back and then a big payday. Apart from his last win Diaz' record is very unimpressive, and i'm not convinced that Morales is as shot as people think he is. IMO he is still good enough get a decision at least.

The thing that has me worried is that Diaz has fought at super lightweight many times, and he will probably be much bigger than Morales, and we all know that it takes good legs to beat a guy who is much bigger... Morales' legs right now..... hmmm

Anyways the odds are 7/11 in favor of Morales and i think those are pretty safe odds what do you guys think?

I'm trying to get the opinion of people who have seen Diaz fight...

I totally agree with you. Diaz is a warrior, has the heart of a lion, he just isn't that good. I mean, I know he took out Zab Judah before becoming a pro, but he really hasn't been that impressive ever since. Morales will take him to school.

Diaz is strong and tough, but Morales holds the edge in technical skills. For me, it all depends if Morales still has legs.

Diaz is a plodder and he can be outboxed. Morales does have boxing ability especially early in his career he just chooses not to use it. He needs to box in this fight and he can outbox Diaz. Diaz is a very average fighter, a lot of heart and hes a big strong lightweight but not much else. He lost every round to Santa Cruz until the stoppage.

I dont know if Morales is shot as much as it was his trouble making 130. He will benifit from the move up in weight.

A lot of people bring up the fact that Morales debut at lightweight was a bad one but Raheem would have beat Morales at any point in his career at any weight he has the style to beat him. Not the case with Diaz he stands right in front of you hes not hard to find.

Ill never count Morales out completly im not that kind of person but he looks bad at 135 agianst Raheem he was pudgy and slow and he just looks so shot now especially in November with his horrible coordination, balance, hand speed, reflexes etc. Im not a fan of his but have MAD respect of him and would like to be wrong and him get a dramatic upset.

Erik Morales looked badly weight drained in the third fight, and against Raheem he obviously didnt give a ****. I think if Morales shows up and is ready for the fight and in top condition i think he'll win.

It would be nice to see a great warrior like Morales to go out on a high and string a few wins together at 135.

after watching Gatti's last fight....im nervous for Morales. Alot of us thought that Gatti would beat him cause it was "the contender guy" and how overrated they were and so on.....but fact of the mater was....gatti just wasnt what he used to be....

and im afraid that we might see that out of this fight also.

I love Morales. but i hope hes not as shot as he seems.

Regardless, Morales is the man! Hes my favourite boxer of this generation probably, such a warrior with an iron chin and a massive heart.

Ok so I'll put a little 50$ on Morales.

Actually i'm sure the odds will get even better by fight time
